Re: March Madness expanding to 96
They talked about it on ESPN radio all afternoon. Insiders say it's not a question of if but when. The big issue is that many of the games could go to ESPN. If ESPN gets the whole thing, ABC would get the Final Four. Next year is probably when it would start. http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/source-mar...

March Madness expanding to 96
It was announced today. Thoughts? Apparently they will play an extra round of "play-ins" on the Tuesday before, so that they can fit this into one month before the final four and final in April. Another scenario has some teams getting byes into the round of 32. Not sure when it will actual...

Jim, the point is that only the NFL doesn't require both units from each team to perform in O.T. Actually, there are more than just two phases in football. There's something called special teams, which college football eliminates with their overtime policy. You play one way for 60 minutes and then ...

For most of his time here he didn't have the players to get it done. Once he did have a good roster we finally got to the playoffs. For a couple years he had Stubblefield/Wilkinson on the defensive line, Ken Harvey at linebacker and Green/Dishman on the corners and nobody even bothered to throw the...

Not only did dude have nothing to throw to, but he had NOBODY in the backfield. Sammy Winder was a two time Probowler, and ran for 1,200 yards in '84. Vance Johnson and Mark Jackson were "nothing" enough to each last in the league eight seasons. Clarence Kay and Orson Mobley were decent T...

Is it Elway's 2-3 record in the Big One that has you people slobbering him If I'm slobbering over anything on his resume, it's the fact that he carried three mediocre teams to Super Bowls early on. That to me is more impressive than his back-to-back titles which were actually talented squads. Not o...

FTC is attempting to make Donovan McNabb out to be a HOF QB by comparing him to Jason Campbell. How the the hell am I supposed to respond to that? He's not a HOF QB. He IS, however, one of the best QBs in the NFL over the last ten years, and that's hardly something to bitch about. Yet you do (I mea...

Please take the time to explain to me why you dislike Donovan McNabb so much. For years, I have not been able to understand this. By punting, the odds are you give him a, what, 60 yd field in which to engineer the game-winning drive? that 30 yard difference in field position doesn't mean jack shit. Exactly. Portis for one! He's a bit of a flake, but he's still a good RB.... No? I don't know - I honestly never see them down here. He's not even "good" anymore. The last time that he was even a FACTOR in a win was Oct. of '08 in a game vs. the Lions. Teams do not fear him at all. His best game t...

That pathetic attempt at a tackle by LaRon Landry on Turner's 2nd TD and DeGulpaload Hall's continued presence on the field is the definition of why this team sucks so bad. It's more a testament to the type of assclowns that management brings in. Everything you see on the field is a direct result o...

If you're talking about a couple pieces here, go with the toaster oven and flick to about 400 degrees for 10 minutes. If you have like 4 slices leftover, then heat the first two, take them out and put the others in while you're eating the first two. Toaster oven is the way to go. Anyone else "r...
