Preseason grades and the annual Fearless Predictions
So the preseason is winding down and I've seen this in other forums. What do you love and hate about your team this year and what do you think their prospects look like? Colorado Avalanche: Forwards. This is the brightest spot for the Avs. There was already a good core of players with Sakic returnin...

OK, one more time: You cannot get an accurate idea of BMI by plugging in your weight and height into some online calculator. Period. End of story. These tools cannot account for the amount of fat mass and non-fat mass in your body. Probably the best way to get these measurements are by doing a hydro...

Stellarium
Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer.
My 4 year old likes to look at the moon and stars so I brought out the telescope recently. Just discovered this one. It's very cool and a great way to learn constellations, planets, etc.

As the father of a two year old girl, I could give a flying fuck if he doesn't act on his twisted fantasy. It's not normal to fantasize about little girls. As such, he's a sick, twisted fuckup who can rot in hell as far as I'm concerned. If he comes within visual of my daughter, his life is forfeit.

It's either the jejunum or the duodenum, I can't remember. I think the duodenum is the top portion of the SI, so I'll go with jejunum.

Wishful thinking, I'm afraid. As bad as this is for the NBA, I think it will go by the wayside once the season starts and people remember what this year's draft was like, and that they want to see what the likes of Greg Oden and Kevin Durant are made of. I don't disagree with you, though. This is a ...

One of the advantages (perhaps THE advantage) of Ubuntu over other distros is that there is minimal configuration involved. I have tried a lot of different distros, and with each one, I had to do some manual configuration to make everything work properly. With Ubuntu, I really didn't have to do anyt...

Quite a contract Sid the Kid just picked up. I'm too lazy to google it up, but I'd guess that makes him the top paid player in the league. Fuck me, this is great! When Drury went off the market, I figured the best the Avs could do would be to maybe lure Shanahan out of New York. Likely to happen after he declined the Sabres' offer: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=212162&hubname=nhl Looks to me like Buffalo was just going through the motions, tendering an offer that basically matches what he's already making, and which they had to know he'd refuse. I guess this mean...

I know I underestimated the Sens. Everyone has been talking about the Sabres winning the President's Cup, how Drury and Briere are so clutch, how Miller is the most underrated goalie in the league, yada, yada, yada. Meanwhile, the Sens have been quietly winning games. Everyone knows that Heatley, Al...
