We should have a system where the poorest pays a minimal amount, maybe .5%. It should gradually step up topping of at maybe 35% at 10 mil with ZERO deductions.

People who don't understand zippering as a quicker and more efficient method of keeping traffic moving when you have to merge to one lane on the highway. These idiots think everyone should wait their turn in a single file line like it's a 5th grade cafeteria.

It shouldn't be a percentage at all, everyone should pay the same amount, not the same percentage, the same amount.
Nope. Percentage is where it is at. No tax rate should be more than 10%. Corporate, income, capital gains, estate, whatever. None should be over 10%. Further there should be zero deductions.
Getting us out of the hole shouldn't be based on taxing. It should be based on spending. Tomorrow we should cut government spending across the board by 25%. No department or line item should be exempt. Then two days from now we should eliminate multiple cabinet level departments completely.

What he gets is to pay for his increased use of services. Like the courts. Rich people sue each other way more. He gets to use the roads not just to drive but to moves goods and services, as it were. He gets the stability that comes from a 800$bil military for his commerce. He gets regulation, that if some right, increases the public’s confidence in his product or service. He is the one with the big trucks clogging up traffic. Or using the airports to fly passengers and freight. He gets the fruits of all the subsidized research done at universities, like IDK the internet maybe. He gets patent and copyright protection and the force of the courts and cops to enforce it.
