I thought MS origins were before the war on drugs. They're ex-Salvadoran soldiers, vets of the real War the CIA/United States fomented in El Salvador to protect some connected Latin wife whose US friendly husband was killed.

I thought MS is what would have happened if Haitian vets of an anti-Duvalier civil war migrated to the US and were allowed to wreck shit against both black gangs and brown gangs. Or if Al Queda's original enemy (did they have a name beyond Soviet?) moved to Dearborn and were allowed to take out black and brown gangs.

MS is bad news. Their existence and proliferation is intentional, though.
