Millionaires and Billionaires aren’t the issue. As Bill Gates said, no one pays more taxes than he does. Our tax system doesn’t favor the rich, the rich already pay the vast majority of taxes.

The real issue is spending and we need to get a handle on that yesterday. Now is not the time to call for crazy increases in spending. We need to cut spending tonight. 20% budget cuts across the board, period.

But at least defense spending is a constitutionally authorized federal responsibility. The large majority of the rest is not.

I'd be fine with a 10% cut in DoD budget, if we would also dust off the 10th fukking amendment and come reasonably close to following it.

If you want to pick up all this spending at the state level, go for it. Some states would, some wouldn't. Those of us that wanted to live in the socialist utopia states could move to those, those of us that didn't could move to other states.

Education spending continues to climb and results continue to fall. Let states handle education as they should be doing. And stop educating illegal aliens.

Our education spending was largely at the local and state level until the last 50 years or so and we had the best education system in the world. Now it is shit, because it is done in DC.

DC sucks at running everything, because you simply can't run things on that large a scale.

Charge a flat rate citizenship tax for every man, woman and child per year.

That doesn't work, and punishes poor people and women/men who don't receive child support. The number of exceptions which would be written in (starting, let's be reality, with Hasidics and Mormons) also would render it unfair.
