The Year of the Cat
I find it fascinating how some artists come up with their songs....
So Al Stewart was watching Casablanca while flipping through a book
when he came upon an article that said 1975 was the year of the cat
in vietnam. So he got this idea in his head...what would have happened
if Bogart met Bergman in Casablaca in 1975....
YEAR OF THE CAT
On a morning from a Bogart movie
In a country where they turn back time
You go strolling through the crowd like Peter Lorre
Contemplating a crime
She comes out of the sun in a silk dress running
Like a watercolor in the rain
Don't bother asking for explanations
She'll just tell you that she came
In the year of the cat
She doesn't give you time for questions
As she locks up your arm in hers
And you follow 'till your sense of which direction
Completely disappears
By the blue tiled walls near the market stalls
There's a hidden door she leads you to
These days, she says, I feel my life
Just like a river running through
The year of the cat
Well morning comes and you're still with her
And the bus and the tourists are gone
And you've thrown away your choice you've lost your ticket
So you have to stay on
But the drum-beat strains of the night remain
In the rhythm of the new-born day
You know sometime you're bound to leave her
But for now you're going to stay
In the year of the cat
Year of the cat

She loves guns...and rich guys with big penises
too bad I'm not rich. :(

Rick, I'm sorry for your loss.
It's California, though. Republican pussy is all over the place. Shake it off, and go to where the 2nd Amendment pussy is. There are entire swaths of land West of the Mississippi filled with ranchers' daughters to dip your dick in and enjoy. Pick em up before the monied Mexicans do. (Also, Cat looks like she has a bit of Indian in her).

I gave HER....everything we owned for the dog.
All she left me was a fork, a spoon, a plate and the dog.
that's why I love the dog so much.

You dodged a bullet. Pet people and non-pet people should never play house together.Ban Kierfag wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:48 pm I gave HER....everything we owned for the dog.

Material posessions can be replaced. Your pup is your fur kid, though. Your pup depends upon you.
Why would you give someone you weren't married to, anything, though? You keep what's in your name, she keeps what's in her name, stop depositing into joint accounts, split the proceeds from the house, and keep it moving.
Don't ever make that mistake again

Peter Lorre and Bogart...they don't make movies like this
anymore...now it's CGI and super human women doing triple summersaults
off the wall as they dodge bullets to defeat the bad guys.
Such RUBBISH!
Play it Sam...Play "As Time Goes By"
YOU WORE BLUE AND THE GERMANS WORE GREY!
GREY....the summer uniform of the nazis....sigh.....

Sup, Ban Kierfag. Too bad the movies and books forums are dead. A group watch over chat of some old classics would be interesting.
Never saw Casablanca. By the time I would have been interested, all of the cool stuff on free tv was being replaced by infomercials or moved to cable.
Thank God for Al Gore.
Why the Hugo Boss fetishizing, though? Leave that to Jap cosplay hoes looking for 'donations'.

They even found a way to destroy Hollywood, their own baby.
Remember the original "terminator"
The minimalist approach of "Halloween".
The stark reality of "the godfather"
"Braveheart" "Jaws"
A fish called wanda.
"Being there".
Saving private Ryan.
Silence of the lambs.
Today, it's about CGI.
The sheer wisdom of walt elias Disney held that the story is what matters.
The left has destroyed academia,
The press, and even their own,
Hollywood.
And that was just the appetizer.
For the main course?
They will destroy our bill of rights and our constitutional republic.
That's the big prize
Here's hoping that it won't happen in our lifetime.
