The Mustang has died off and risen again several times. That abortion of the Mustang II damn near killed it. The Fox body starting in 92 was decent, the double headlights sucked. I owned two 67's, one 72 and a 94. The ones since then are all alike.

The wife has a '12 V-6 6 speed.

She likes it.

I like 3rd gear on ramp pulls in it, other than that, meh. My TDI Sportwagen is more fun to drive.

As for handling, I have not had the pleasure of driving the latest Shelby stuff with the coyote V-8, but I hear it is pretty fukking glorious. I have drivn a V-6 rental Camaro which impressed the hell out of me. Way more fun to flog than the OL's 'stang.

I wish they'd have gone with twin turbos rather than a supercharger. Turbos are more efficient.

The euros have gone pretty much exclusively with turbos do have the advantage of torque RIGHT FUKKING NOW, but advances in turbo design have greatly reduced lag.

What Ford ought to do to eliminate lag, is go with a hybrid system similar to what MB has done. Add a pancake electric motor/flywheel. Get rid of all drive belts and run all your pumps off electricity.
