Anyone have experience with using a keylogger on their teenagers cell phone? Looking for something that can be installed quickly, trying to get a cell phone away from a teenager for more than 2 seconds is a daunting task. Also, something cheap is preferred.

I'm assuming they all have remote monitoring via URL or cell phone and are not (easily) detectable.


We pay for the phone, he's under 18, no legal issue with doing it.

This is not a teacher rape issue, sorry to burst your bubble or feed your inappropriately fantasy. Although, there was a teacher from last year that basically wrote him a love letter at the end of the year. She isn't very attractive so I'm confident young twis didn't dip his wick in her. He has a pretty nice harem of girls that come to all his hockey games, so no issue there.

This more of a vaping/weed thing. He had a good core group of friends, but we and a couple of the other parents have expressed the same concerns.

Surprisingly, when asked, we felt he wasn't entirely honest with his answers.

If you have to ask, your kid is already two steps ahead of you. If your kid is smart, he already has a burner phone -- or will get one -- to lock you out of his life.

Keylogging is a VERY big deal, not to be taken lightly. If your kid finds out, it will fuck up your relationship with them. I wasn't being facetious by asking which teacher is fucking him. Keylogging is a major breach of privacy, and should only be undertaken for serious matters.

What exactly are you hoping to find? And once you do find it, what exactly are you planning on doing?

You need legal assistance and the advice of a family counselor on how to deal with this -- not the board.

The only advise I requested from the board is technical in nature.

As for what we find and what action we take is up to Mrs this and myself. I already spoke to my attorney about the legality and I was assured it is well within our rights. In essence, this is no different than rummaging through his room. We have a pretty good family dynamic and I'm not terribly concerned about the long term affects.

Besides, we are not fully set on this course of action, but I'm doing some research in case we do.

He really is a good kid, decent grades and no discipline issues at school. He plays highschool hockey, lax and will try out for golf next season.

There is also the hypocracy issue as I have a jar of "oil" in the freezer for baking cookies.

Just want him to be honest/truthful with us, like I was with my parents.

Try talking to some of the other kids on his team. Throw a couple of Benjamins around...see who starts singin' first. If one of them looks particularly swishy, threaten to "out them" to their team-members and parents...you'd be surprised how fragile teens can be...
