Holic, get the hell in here...

This could be good for you no? Increased awareness on these machines not being maintained or serviced on time should kick business your way.
Granted no matter how well you maintain these things they are still operated by humans government union employees, so we shouldn’t expect much regardless. These clowns fail at their jobs an amazing number of times and yet Betty and Frank American have no clue. They just believe the TSA is keeping them safe.

I have said for years the TSA is a joke and should be replaced by non government employees. The TSA fails at an unbelievable rate. The only reason we haven’t had another airplane attack is because the goat herders haven’t tried.
However if Liberals were running airport security why would it be any different than the border? Come one come all. Bring whatever you want, metal detectors and backscatter machines are illegal. Asking questions is profiling and racist. No one means harm to anyone else.

Yup, the TSA is just as much a waste of money as any other fed bureaucracy.
And they’re getting ready to spend another pile of money getting all checkpoint carry on screening changed from X-ray to cat scan. I spent all this week in MD learning how to install/maintain them.
It is a neat toy and will allow travelers to keep electronics in their bags during screening,
This may help getting flyers through the checkpoint faster, but not as much as changing how they search.

But it will still take humans to operate these things. Current unionized federal employees have shown time after time that they are not capable. Why will new technology change this?

I suspect the majority of the breeches are made by people carrying concealed items on their body, not in their bags that go through the xray. My experience is that the TSOs are pretty decent at catching things on xray.

Re: Holic, get the hell in here...
Being unionized doesn't get them much.
TSA is not like most other federal hack jobs. They aren't paid much. They have a thankless job. A good number of those that join TSA, do so because it is a stepping stone into the federal system. It you want a job with ICE or BOP, TSA is where you start.
There are some that stay with it. Some I guess just like the steady check. Others really aren't capable of much more.

TSA is an unconstitutional entity as it relates to domestic private travel.
I’m not interstate commerce. If the national government wants to regulate the transaction fine. I did it in one state and the airline is in another, but my actual flight is not commerce it’s travel, something I can do without TSA. (Article IV, Section 2, Clause 1) In fact there is no TSA in any private interstate flight I have ever taken. Fuck TSA and the lemmings that vote for the people that put it in place.

Liberals are good people who like Reagan conservatives, hold liberty sacrosanct.
It's the left that's big government control socialism and the enemy of liberty and our Bill of rights.
And they are in firm control of that party.
Hope that helps bring you up to date.

Since when did you start giving a fukk about constitutionality?
At least half of federal workers are unconstitutional. As for air travel being interstate commerce, it most certainly is, but so what?
I know the feds like to use it as their justification for controlling everything, but anyone with more than three brain cells to rub together knows damn well what was intended. It was the feds way of telling the states they could. It tariff one another. Nothing more.
Sadly, they thought this was understood.

Since we elected Donald Trump to expose the loyalist spies left behind by the previous administration. People like former communist John Brennan. He may vote Democrat socialist, but he's a true communist who hates the bill of rights.smackaholic wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2019 2:58 pm Since when did you start giving a fukk about constitutionality?

How the fuck could a communist like Brennan, get into our CIA?
You got a bunch of leftists in our government who shit on our constitution daily.
They collect our phone records without a court order.
You have no idea whatsoever about your own government.
The media has you so hoodwinked and duped, that you don't know day from night.

This thread popped up on my Tapatalk app for some reason.
Anyhoo, now that I’ve had a year and a half of real world experience with cat scan, I’ll give you my thoughts.
The technology is pretty fukking cool. Having the ability to grab a 3d image and quickly spin it or look at cross sections is pretty cool.
Not cool enough to justify the $$$$ imo, but it is kinda cool.
Too bad my company is in the habit of pushing stuff out the door that isn’t quite ready for prime time. The software is glitchy still and a few of the mechanical bits were definitely examples of low bidder getting the contract. The input and exit conveyors are pretty fukking janky.
Anyhoo, just heard that the rest of the X-ray lanes are being upgraded to CT as well. Unfortunately, they won’t be my companies.
No worries though, I won’t miss working on the atixes much. And I still got enough stuff to remain employed.
