Bradhusker, .m2, Poptart. Dan Vogel and Waynegro should be unbanned.
Bill Lumbergh, Blueblood, Kansas City Kid, matteric and Omaha_Man should probably be unbanned depending on who owns them.
MONEY could be a good character troll, except we don't have cripplingly myopic sports fans here anymore.

Then I concur, and correct myself.
What is KCK's backstory? What did he do to earn hate?Screw_Michigan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 2:20 pmHe's a world class scumbag. He deserves to be castrated more than he deserves to be readmitted to this forum.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 6:30 am He is not "owned" by anyone.

Unfortunately, this is a microcosm of Porky's 20+ year posting career.
Lacking game and intellect, he gets pwnt in discussion.
He gets frustrated and flustered.
He resorts to spamming the board with the most childish and banal things found on the interweb.

You kind of missed the point there Screw. He was commenting on spamming the board with childish and banal things. Like pops did with never ending threads about the shape of the Earth. Poptart seems to be arguing that what NASA releases isn't a single selfie of Earth, but a composite of images which are then altered... which is true.88 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 6:06 pmSoftball Bat wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 4:51 amLacking game and intellect, he gets pwnt in discussion.

How far out would a satellite need to be to get a selfie of the whole Earth in full color with details, without resorting to composite imaging?

What if the shape of the Earth does matter. Do the caps weigh the crust down, or no effect? Is Earth 'smaller' during ice ages, or no effect? Does Earth include the Moon?Jay in Phoenix wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 6:57 pmYou kind of missed the point there Screw. He was commenting on spamming the board with childish and banal things. I've covered this with pops before, but I will restate it here. All planets are essentially globe-shaped. All you have to do is look through a telescope, at say Jupiter, and stay with it long enough, you will see the rotation. The reason for the composite pics has to do with image and color enhancement. Google the subject, you'll understand why. They aren't altering the physical shape of the Earth.Innocent Bystander wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 7:59 pmPoptart seems to be arguing that what NASA releases isn't a single selfie of Earth, but a composite of images which are then altered... which is true.

To answer your second question, here is an example.
This earth image was acquired by Hayabusa at 10:00 p.m. on May 18 (Japan Standard Time). The distance between Hayabusa and the earth at that time was about 295,000 km. As Hayabusa came closer to the earth, the image became much clearer than the one taken on May 17. It shows the Atlantic Ocean in the center.
The right is the African and European Continents. You can see the north east area of the African Continent, the Iberian Peninsula, and part of the United Kingdom. The left side is the South and North American continents. In the lower left corner, you can clearly see the north east area of the South American Continent. The central America area is covered by clouds, but you can see from Mexico to the central area of the United States, and Cuba.
The image was taken by the onboard Asteroid Multiband Imaging Camera (AMICA). It was composed of three individually filtered images.

Why are the clouds avoiding the Sahara and US southwestern desert? but concentrating over the Amazon?
Did the Japanese take a picture of Antarctica?
Cuba is huge, much larger than I thought. No wonder there was a revolution.

As long as he isn't hurting anyone, there's no reason to ban him (or anyone). A political disagreement is not banworthy.

Once again...I was THORHAMMER!
88 just proved that almost ALL of the normal conservative posters were BANNED, ELIMINATED and REMOVED
in 2006.
none of the libtards were banned....
Only conservatives were banned.
This place is the Havana of message boards...
A bunch of Fidel Castros in control or what gets posted and who gets banned.
Liberals can post
Conservatives get BANNED!
