the parrot was named Seamore....

anyhoo...the parrot was raised with a bunch of dogs and it learned to mimic barking....
This stupid parrot would bark all day and all night....starting when the sun came up....

So one day my mom took Seamore out in the back yard and Seamore flew away.

Within minutes...there were 911 calls that a DOG was stuck up in a tree...

the fire department was called and when they got to the tree it was seamore, our parrot.
Our parrot was in the tree barking like a dog and people thought it was a real dog in the tree.

It was so funny.....

eventually we gave the parrot to a bird santuary and the parrot barked for 30 more years.

I hate parrots...

I love Dogs!

When I was working at Rockwell International in Seal Beach CA some creepy co worker
did a creepy and took this picture of me and hershey....



I loved that dog....



I like dogs....

but one time I took hershey to Venice Beach and bought him Pink Doggie hat with sun glasses on it...

It was super cool.

Every Chinese person wanted a picture with us....

Longest four blocks I ever walked in my life....

Asians are funny....

In retrospect...I wonder if they wanted to eat Hershey.

He is wearing his favorite makeup here, some random animal’s shit.

Other than his cosmetic choices, he’s a great dog. 10 years old going on 2.

According to the DNA test my daughter had done, he’s pit bull/dalmatian/white Shepard/chow.

The chow part surprised me, but he does have the tongue spot typical of the breed.

When Maria broke up with me...I said "you can have EVERYTHING, but I get the dog!"


I got Hershey...one fork, one spoon, one knife, a plate and the dog.

Tanya's cool, Lumpi's funny; Seamore is why harnesses exist. If you ever get another bird, train your bird to tolerate them. It's freeing to be able to give flighted pets the ability to work their wings outdoors instead of just in the house. It's less cruel than clipping.

According to the DNA test my daughter had done, he’s put/dalmatian/white Shepard/chow.

The chow part supervised me, but he does have the tongue spot typical of the breed.

10 is the new 5. I'm laughing my ass off, because the chow balances out the dalmatian intellectually. He's a good boy, and I hope he has 10 more years with your family.

We were a German Shepherd family, with a variety of pound puppies in between at the same time. Pickle is right: pups are family.

Unless you're China, then pups are dinner. (There are some very fucked up videos out ther; the dog skinned alive just barely edges out the dogs flame-broiled alive on the street for consumption. All hail Coronavirus.

(Same goes for the broke people who raise fighting dogs and the rich people who raise fox hunters. Family is family, even when it means you're expected to treat your human family like shit, too.)

My dad had a huge Pickle...all of us have the Big Pickle

When you have the Big Pickle you don't have to worry about other dudes.

You had to. Twice.

My mom could have been incredible....she was always in the paper, she wrote ONE book and was friends with Senator William Proxmire, Jimmy Stewart, Marlin Perkins, and Canadian Prime Minister Elliot Trudeau....but the Oxycontin got to her...at the end she had a 720 of Oxy a month..that was 30 pills a day....every day.

So sad....She could have been somebody!

Sounds like the woman you're describing was somebody, for a very long time. What more was she supposed to be? Are you mad at her?

This is year 25. How is your mom today?

She has a very harrowing story. That doesn't mean she's nobody, or that she failed herself, her husband or her children. Her story hasn't ended yet. Write that ending for her. Make it count.

How can the same people who toss their pets from hi-rises and torture food before flaying alive, also be the same people willing to show this much love and concern for the well-being of a pet?
