Re: Who has worked for 45 years
Paychecks for workers are bigger but purchasing power is basically the same.
Sanders is going to win at least 40 of the 50 States because of this. He could win 40+ States and still not get the Nomination. Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and John Kerry are the 3 likely people to get nominated if this thing goes to multiple ballots. Mitt Romney might switch parties and get the nomination. There will be riots in the streets if this happens...and it might.

I started Caddying for Oscar Mayer when I was just a kid...
I would get $5 for 18 holes and then Oscar Mayer would give me a $20 dollar tip.
That was a lot of money in 1977...he also bought me a hotdog, soda and fries at the turn.

Most importantly...Oscar Mayer taught me how to golf!!!!

The way this plays out is that the majority of Americans are NOT socialists.BlackThroatedWind wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 7:24 pm Paychecks for workers are bigger but purchasing power is basically the same.

This leaves 30% of the left wing.
They are radical government control socialists.
They would have to be joined by real stupid voters who don't understand that it's centralized government control and not compatible with our constitution.
Plus, the standard of living has risen in the last 50 years.
Today, you've got low IQ inner city parasites with fuckin cell phones and big screen TVs!
Are you gonna tell me that these cockroaches had those luxuries 50 years ago?

I'm not arguing the merits of Sanders or his economics.EAP wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 7:38 pmThe way this plays out is that the majority of Americans are NOT socialists.BlackThroatedWind wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 7:24 pm Paychecks for workers are bigger but purchasing power is basically the same.

He's going to win about 40 States in the Dem Primary. You can take that to the bank.
The big Donors in the Dem Party hate him and want him defeated at the convention.

Hey Derek...
Do you still have that picture of you in front of the bookcase?
I loved that picture.

You're right behind us, though when you reach our age, you won't have the quality of life that we enjoy. You'll have a bonafide reason to be grumpy.
Re: Who has worked for 45 years
And if you don't make a lot more now and you admit it then you are a bigger loser than just not making more. What a stupid question, but look at the trolls all roll in to tard the thread up.

Listen.
This November, there's a serious choice.
Stay with the trump dynasty, and enjoy huge opportunities for everybody!!!!
A rising tide lifts all boats.
OR,
choose Bernie the trotskyite, and make that hard left turn towards government control socialism.
Piss away the greatest republic known to mankind.
The choice couldn't be any more crystal clear.

For a person concerned about Roach getting his bank account info, you put a lot of identifying info up....

I read that in Harvey Fierstein's voice. And now you do, too.EAP wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 1:28 pmJewish fella from queens. Used to play handball on Sunday morning.Innocent Bystander wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 3:41 amMayer or Meyer?

Fierstein is to homosexuality as RuPaul is to transsexualism/transvestitism. Funny, humble, non-threatening, iconic first.
Fierstein was film's baphomet, he melded feminine and masculine: he was the guy who was also your jewish aunt, at the same time.
It's the voice. He took the Paul Lynde/Liberace sissy faggot inflections and added a smokey sexy rasp.

Good movie, good movie, never saw. How good/bad is kinky boots?

It's the old adage that musicals should stay on Broadway.Innocent Bystander wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 4:48 pmGood movie, good movie, never saw. How good/bad is kinky boots?
Cyndi Lauper wrote the words and music.
But like "CATS", the film doesn't translate well
Based on the true story of a son trying to save his families shoe factory.
He doesn't care for the shoe business, but meets up with a transvestite cabaret singer.
Then they start producing exotic/erotic kinds of shoes,
In an effort to save the business.
It sounds like your cup of tea.
I'm more of a man's man testosterone dripping movie guy,
"Braveheart", "gladiator", "Terminator". "300", etc...manly tough guy films.
Don't misunderstand me though,
I do have a sensitive caring side as well, just to be clear.
I'm very multi-faceted, so to speak.

Maybe. Maybe not. Adaptation doesn't have to be a four letter word.

The Cats storyline is retarded and all over the place. Take advantage of film's strength and add a backstory to the shenanigans.

Strippers, hookers, club kids and fetishests need workshoes, too. Did it fail because the story was threadbare, or for another reason?
It sounds like your cup of tea.
I like shoes, but not like how b-boys collect sneakers love shoes. Thinking outside the box to be true to one's self while also honoring family obligations is some Al Jolson shit.

Braveheart was a man who avenged his wife against traitors.
Gladiator was a man who avenged his wife and son against a traitor. Terminator was a man who avenged his best friend/superior commander against humanity's descendents. 300 was a man who avenged his people, against a living god. There's your sensitivity. And they all had crazy sex scenes.
And they all died at the hands of the enemy in the end....they won by losing...
you do a theme. I just had to talk it out before seeing it. :?

Don't assume.
Those films you added?
Yep, I love em' all.
Just didn't feel like typing those and 200 more.
What's with the other thread about facing our mortality?
Sure it's reality and all, but can't we dwell on life's pleasures instead of "the end".
Makes us all feel like Jim Morrison for christ's sake.

Clearly Sanders will not get the nomination. He will be Arkancided if necessary. Old guy, history of heart problems, stress of the campaign...easily done. Big Mitch has already said that he isn't going to run and he's a lazy sack anyway. Kerry? Neegro please. The DNC is going to have to be pried out of Shitlery's cold, dead hands. She has spent a lifetime accruing leverage. She knows where all the bodies are buried.BlackThroatedWind wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 7:24 pm

Bloomberg is a stalking horse running to asphyxiate the other so called "moderates" in the race, but he is completely toxic to the democratic electorate.

NO WAY is this country ready for government control socialism.
Immigrants are running away from government control for christ's sake!
They want liberty.
If Sanders makes it to the debate stage against the president,
I fucking guarantee you he drops dead of a heart attack in the middle of debate number two.
Then, his Vp Tulsi Gabbard will debate the president in the third debate.
She'll be a deer in the headlights.
A hot and sexy deer, but frozen solid.
