I’d say he makes my top 5 RR frontman list.

Re: RIP Little Richard
One of the all time greats. A pioneer of Rock n roll.
Only 87. That's not as old as it used to be.
Jerry Lee is still kicking.
That era in music history has no equal today.
Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of music happening today, but what we saw and heard in the 1950's, was an explosion that may never be equaled.
It literally, according to Paul McCartney and Jimmy Page, and many other all time greats, set the stage for everything that came after.

You forgot the sin, MA at the end.
Of course the 50s set the stage, but for me the height of Rock and Roll is late 60-early 70s.

Zeppelin, Floyd, Hendrix, the who, the stones, beatles, etc...the list is endless, goes on forever.
Can anyone seriously say with a straight face, that today's music comes anywhere near that level of GREATNESS?

There is good new stuff, but it doesn't get the pop attention it did in the day. The result is that some of these groups eventually say fuggit and move on.

Never knew he was from Bacon. Your long lost cousin!Papa Willie wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 2:06 pm https://www.13wmaz.com/article/news/loc ... 4e02186c12
Yeah - he was a nut, but R&R might not be here without him... :(

Bacon was actually a hotbed of musical greatness.
ABB called it home in their early years.

Probably the gayest person in history....
Even gayer than Elton John....
I'm surprised his piano didn't burst into flames.

Ni.ggas don't care, as long as you're entertaining. He lived his best life (to borrow from the kids) in a time when he could have been killed just for being himself. He was a pioneer beyond merely music. He had balls. The Big Pickle wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 4:41 pm Probably the gayest person in history....

Otis Reddings plane crashed a block from my house....Papa Willie wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 5:48 pm
Otis Redding was from here. James Brown lived here for a while growing up. You could almost call it the birthplace for R&R and Soul music. Definitely southern rock...
Sitting at the dock of the bay hit number one the night his plane crashed into Monona Bay....
so sad....why do people fly into ice storms with zero visibility. So so sad...bad pilots..bad decisions...
