We have the best testing in the world. Could be that testing’s, frankly, overrated. Maybe it is overrated.

We have more cases than anybody in the world, but why? Because we do more testing. When you test, you have a case. When you test you find something is wrong with people. If we didn’t do any testing, we would have very few cases. They don’t want to write that. It’s common sense. We test much more.

As for testing, a shit ton, extremely early on MIGHT have helped. But, it wasn't available and I heard a plausible explanation as to why yesterday.

Very early on, sometime in January, I think it was, CDC decided they needed a test. They could have contracted it out to the private sector or maybe even went with foreign tests, which apparently some, likely China and SoKo already had.

But they said, nahhhh, we wanna do it in house, so we know what we have. So they got to work and the first attempt was a swing and a miss. This cost precious weeks.

Do you think a different blowhard in the oval office would have changed bureaucratic incompetency?

Not likely.

So, now, we are finally getting to the point where we can start seeing tests in numbers.

What will it change?

It might help with controlling hotspots, but we already know how to do that. Protect the vulnerable population.

We simply need to get back to our lives, practice a little common sense and hygiene. Let this fukking thing run its course until we achieve herd immunity of some sort.

Or we could remain in the bunker and wait for something that might not ever cum, a vaccine for this type of virus. So what if we've been unsuccessful in the past.
