He said nothing wrong.

Players are employees who are on company time.
Teams require players to do all kinds of things -- how they have to dress, what time they have to be in, places they are not allowed to go, things they are not allowed to do.

It is entirely reasonable for the employer to expect their employees to stand for the anthem.
It is basic respect.

You can't have guys just going solo and doing whatever the hell they "have a right" to do.

Further what is sad is the firm that handles my companies branding and small social media presence said we should put out a statement. They felt it would prevent any SJW from coming after us for “silence”. I immediately asked one of our balck employees for guidance and he said leave it alone.
