(Today’s) favorite guitar solo

Post by Mikey »

I didn’t title this thread “best” guitar solo because I’m not interested in arguing about it. And I prefaced it with “today’s” because I’ll probably move on tomorrow or next week.

That being said, I came across a video the other day on the making of Dark Side of the Moon. Recommend watching this if you ever get the chance. Great stuff. It inspired me to play the entire album this evening.

David Gilmour’s solo on “Time” just fucking blows me away every time I hear it. Still after almost 50 years. Every note seems spontaneous and yet absolutely... perfect.

That’s all.

The solo on “Money” is pretty good too.

I have one of these at my parent's house where there is still a stereo with a turntable hooked up and woking. I know playing it is a no no in geek vinyl circles, but sometimes I just can't help myself.
