More evidence that I am just too damn old...
In recent years baseball has become unwatchable, in part due to the strike zone box brainiacs
have decided to treat us to.
Completely distracting.
And absolute eyesore.
Now we've got background music playing while sports talk personalities offer up takes.
When I first heard this ear shit a while back I thought it was an aberration of sorts.
But recently I've noticed that this has legitimately become a thing.
An example...
What exactly is the music supposed to be adding to the production?
It is distracting, it is stupid as hell, and it -----> SUCKS.
Lose it, and in the meantime, get off my damn lawn.

You’re too damn old if you waste your time listening to sports talk personalities.

Dan Vogel might be the only guy on the face of the earf worked up over the strike zone being displayed.

Most of the wiz bang stuff I can do without. The exception is the America’s Cup. Those layover graphics make it much easier to follow.
As for Sports Talk- I still like Lebatard, and Kellerman has his moments. The rest are mostly worthless. Cowherd has good takes on global issues on why things are how they are, but he is just as worthless as most on daily sports takes.

You’re not supposed to be watching it to begin with.
To combine your next second topic with the first, you’re supposed to have it on in the background (sound up) while you nap.

And more evidence...
Yes, 40 years ago yesterday.
Yikes!
An "unspeakable tragedy."
I remember watching this moment from my college dorm room.

2:13 to 2:36
3:19 to 3:38
While dudes are offering analysis, what in the actual fvkk is the music supposed to be about?

The digital strike zone would still require the programers to use the actual definition of the strike zone. It is rare that a pitch above the waist is ever called a strike.
Rule 2 - Section 35 - Strike Zone
Rule 2 - Section 35 - Strike Zone
This means the zone is generally from the chest to the knees and as wide as the plate. Start calling the high strikes. The strike zone is that space over home plate, the top of which is halfway between the batter’s shoulders and the waistline, and the bottom being the knees, when he assumes his natural batting stance. The height of the strike zone is determined by the batter’s normal batting stance. If he crouches or leans over to make the shoulder line lower, the umpire determines height by what would be the batter’s normal stance.
