For sure things look different. And you can see the erf’s curvature from 35K as well. One of the easiest ways is to fly on an airline with a tail camera. Just tune your seat back tv to the tail camera channel. After about 31K you can begin to see the curvature at the horizon on screen. That same curvature isn’t there when you are on the ground.

You can also see the black of space or the firmament yourself. The next time you are on a plane get as low as you can and then look up thru the window. This is easier to see when the sun is on the opposite side of the plane from you. It also is easier in the exit row as you have more room.

This is not a flat earth thread, but one quick comment.

The term firmament is from the Bible, and God placed the sun, moon, and stars in the firmament (Genesis 1:17).

So if the firmament is there, and it is as described in the Good Book, you might need to get up there where the sun, moon, and stars are located.

Considerably higher than 50k, I would assume.
