I didn’t know they were even arrested, but pretty easy to get bail these days so even without an arraignment most people have bond set at the jail. Then once you bond out a new court date is set outside the limits imposed if you don’t bond out.

Sadly, this sort of shit is going to become more frequent because we have a generation of kids out there now who are raised under 24 hr supervision of adults. There are tons of yt podcasts from Jordan Peterson and many others discussing how for the last 25 years or so, we've decided kids under the age of 39 can't be left alone. The result is 20 year olds with the conflict solving abilities of a bratty 3 year old.

And if that wasn't enough, we add CV lockdown hysteria.

And then we wonder why some of these kids snap?

The answer is to stop coddling kids. Let them get out there and fukk up when they are 7. Then maybe they don't blow a gasket at 17.

Want to know what is a safe space? A space with armed sane people.

Schools need trained, armed staff. It would be easy for teachers to have a 9mm in their desk in a gun safe that can be accessed quickly.

When I think of all the overly permissive parents I knew from when I was 15, they did things like buy us smokes and porno mags, let us stay up late to watch Skinemax, play video games and eat too much pizza. They didn't buy us guns. Once again, easy access to guns is the root of mass violence in America.

I am not a parent, so take this with a grain of salt, but I believe Suckaholic has a point with helicopter parenting. Friend of mine tells me all the time about how her douchebag super liberal sister in law defines helicopter parenting. Her kids do lots of things, but they're all supervised and she is there 99% of the time. They have very little unstructured free play. Combine that with easy access to portable electronic screens, doesn't sound like a recipe for a healthy childhood.

We've also criminalized a lot of this behavior. There is a woman in Silver Spring who sued the county because they tried to take her kids away from her because, gasp, she let them walk to school unsupervised. OMG. Insanity.

Speaking of due process, what is your take on the vaccine mandates ?

State and local governments can impose mandates to be vaxed to go school or any other large gathering or places with no possibility of adequate social distancing and ventilation as per the 9th Amendment. The National gov can do the same in DC and other Nationalized lands as per the Property clause. The commerce clause however does not allow for mandates from the national gov on say, companies with 100 people. It does allow for mandates on interstate train, plane and auto travel. The military have signed away their rights so they get the jab too.

It’s all very simple Con Law 101 stuff on paper.
