I appreciate Nirvana as a band and as actual music. And that certainly includes the drummer. But the Foo Fighters is just unlistenable--no need to go further or pile on. And the obvious problem is that the drummer is a genuine asshole--impossibly oblivious to his own blustering belief in everything he's saying. And it's not just that he has none of the talent or brilliance of Kurt Cobain, but rather that he's driven--understandably coming off of Nirvana--to pump out a stream of generic pop rock, completely within the corporate parameters. The next drummer, who just departed, was obviously a suffering soul--first tasked with playing night after night the gaseous throbbings of this disturbance..
