This thing finally arrived.

That does look like jet exhaust and condensation over a wing. Especially the 3rd and 4th photos.

It takes pretty specific conditions but it happens. You can see this happen if you are sitting behind the wing on a flight. You will most often see it when taking off or landing and the flap are deployed. You see the water in the air turn to cloud, and it looks like it is trailing the wing or edges of the flaps.

When it is cold this vaporization can last longer as it often freezes.

Lefty, are you saying you assume that what we see in those pics was caused by an airliner?

Or are you just saying you think it is possible that an airliner was the cause?


The video you posted does not really make a strong case for an airliner being the cause.

But that is jmo.

I have no clue what made the photos since I didn’t take any or see it.

But some of those photos do look like they were created by an airplane.
