I agree, players should only be able to transfer once with no sit out.

I agree with the once, but they should have to sit for a year. Schools should also be on the hook for 5 years when a kid signs his scholarship agreement.

Cheerleaders are not a Varsity sport at any school and cheerleaders have nothing or nobody to blame other than the companies that run cheerleading. In fact they don't even want it considered a sport because that would bring in regulations and break up their monopolies

Part of your statement is incorrect. Colleges and Universities have long issued scholarships for cheer. These schools have argued that cheer is a Varsity sport and the scholarships should be counted against Title IX. Courts have held that it is not a Varsity sport because the NCAA does not offer a championship. Some schools have now started pressuring the NCAA to hold Cheer championships like other sports so that the scholarships can be counted against Title IX given the courts take.

Schools would prefer this as well since they would no longer have to pay to play with NCA or NCF.

But with the trans attack on Title IX who knows what may happen down the road.

Reading comp, is not your friend. I have never said that some school’s weren’t making money off their athletic programs. What I have continued to say is that I am fine with the schools making the money and providing an education and room and board. Further it is often the signing with these schools that makes the player a name and gets them their recognition.

Take Jake Coker who qb’ed Bama to a National Title. No one knew his name when he was at Florida State. He was just another run of the mill college football player. After graduation he transfers to Bama and wins the starting job his second year. Bama is responsible for his name recognition.

No one is forcing these kids to accept a college scholarship, they do so to continue to play and most to get an education.
