Kim Simmonds Dead

Saw Mr. Simmonds in a tiny bar/oyster house several years ago. Still great. Savoy Brown birthed so many great singers and musicians. Simmonds went thru a million band members, yet virtually every SB album had a distinctive Savoy Brown sound. I’m partial to the old days. Check out Looking In. Lion’s Share is a personal favorite. Dave Peverett, Roger Earl, and Tone Stevens left Simmonds and SB and formed Foghat because they wanted to rock a little more, rather than playing blues. Savoy could rock, too, though. Big loss with Kim’s passing. One of the better Brit blues boys.

Ask Smackie to play Shot in the Head for me. I’ll try to get in there, but things are pretty crazy here.
