Upside down constellation Orion in the second to last pic.
In the last pic, is that Antarctica or the southern tip of Chile?
More power to him. With all 7 people there, what's up with the face diapers? Certainly that sniffle virus from the last 3 years can't be raging through an uninhabitable place can it?
I have never had any idea why people keep visiting Antarctica. It really cannot support any human life.
But, clearly some permanency can be established there especially at this time of year.
What is his mission?

I had a geology prof at the U of Maine who went there during the IGY (remember that?) to study the ice. When he got back I asked him what they found. He sadi half say it is melting and half say it is growing. Some things never change. Great tales of exploration about Shackleton, Scott, Amundson, etc. Those guys were brave/nuts.

Antarctica is fascinating!
Start by looking up why Hitler was so interested in Antarctica.
Find the video of Operation High Jump and see what Richard Byrd has to say about our Southern Continent.
Buzz Aldrin says there's some wacky weird shit down there. Check that out as well.

Speaking of great explorers, Rannulph Feinnes is a badass. First guy to cross Antarctica solo. Plus a bunch of other wacky shit. Dude is a living legend.

I'd love to make a trip down to the ice, but that's never going to happen. And that's fine because I don't believe anyone other than scientists should be there.
And for a cool movie, this is on Netflix...

Re: Antarctica trip
I obviously have no fear.
I've spent countless hours diligently responding to fl@t earth questions/attacks on this board -- as well as at Stucknut and .net.
A number of those hours have been devoted to the topic of Antarctica.
People can use the search function (even though it is broken, and many posts have, for some reason, have disappeared) and find a lot of material there.

Re: Antarctica trip
As Jsc810 pointed out quarantines aren't always 100% effective if everybody isn't being diligent. The masks are an extra level of precaution for situations like the one that Jsc810 pointed out.mvscal wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 8:28 pmUnderstood, but that doesn't answer the question or is there something about quarantined for weeks that you didn't understand?Diego in Seattle wrote: ↑Mon Jan 02, 2023 7:05 pmBecause developing any serious medical condition in Antarctica is a big problem.

So things that aren’t used properly don’t work. Color me shocked.
I’m also not surprised a bunch of scientists have no idea how to quarantine.

Re: Antarctica trip
There are stores in Antarctica and you can just dash out for a birthday cake?!? Where was the outbreak? Certainly not in the facility if everyone was "quarantined for weeks with multiple negative tests," right? This story isn't making much sense.

Why? It's all population control theater. Honor system quarantines. Lockdowns that accomplish nothing but economic destruction. Vaccines that aren't vaccines. Masks that don't work. Lies piled on lies.

And btw, I have been on this "vaccine" bullshit from the time it began being pushed on us so hard.
I have, from that time until now, advised people not to start down that path.
What was being sold to us was obviously NOT RIGHT.
