Calling it for Philly because of their QB. If his arm is well, Eagles win.JPGettysburg wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 4:33 pm
The only thing holding Philly back, is their quarterback.
If not for that uncertainty, they'd destroy KC.
31-27 Eagles.

Philly, with the steady plodding grind of a lawnmower. 27-17

I’m trying to figure out a way for KC to win this game. The only thing about Philly is they got an easy road to the dance with an overachieving NYG team in the divisional round and a QB plagued SF team in the conference championship.
Hurts was subpar against San Fran but he didn’t need to be great. He just needed to be effective. Philly is loaded everywhere.
Philly by 6.

Odds makers think this will be a very close game
hence the 1.5 spread. However, this board and virtually
I everyone I have listened to and read out of KC is
rolling w/ Philly and many by large point spreads.
I disagree. KC has the best coach, best tight end,
and certainly the best QB. The heady almost white
guy (paying homage to .net) will prevail in the end.
Never bet against Mahomes folks.

In the past 30 years, only 2 dummy QBs (under 24 on the Wonderlic Test) have won a Super Bowl.
Trent Dilfer, with a historically great defense.
Brett Favre, who was Brett Favre.
That's it.
And in fact, most of the Super Bowl winning QBs of the past 30 years have been fellas who scored WELL ABOVE AVERAGE on the test.
Jalen Hurts happens to be a dummy QB.
21 on the Wonderlic.
Patrick Mahomes scored average on the test (24).
This does not bode well for Jalen Hurts, so we'll see.
Don't shoot the messenger. I am just reporting the facts.

Because the Wonderlic test is a clear connection to the ability to win football games.
My take is the Wonderlic, in and of itself, is quite meaningless.

The only problem is Philly's D is pretty damn stiff,
and maybe Jalen will be the next Brett Favre -
minus texting surprising small penile pics as far as we know.

Well, they test the players for intelligence, just as they test them for their physical gifts.Bill wrote:Because the Wonderlic test is a clear connection to the ability to win football games.

And we have clear data that shows that the dummy QBs have not won the SB over the past 30 years -- save for Favre and Dilfer.
A few years ago we had league MVP dummy QB Cam Newton (21 on the Wonderlic -- same as J. Hurts) melt in the Super Bowl.
Shit the bed, failed to even try to recover a fumble that was right in front of him, and then stormed out of the post-game presser like he had a full diaper.
lol
So we'll see what happens this Super Sunday.

Was kind of interesting to see all the Romo bashing the week after the conference title games. I haven't particularly noticed his performance declining over the years. Was stunned to realize this was this *sixth* season calling games on CBS. Time flies.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 2:00 am Dumbasses, no matter how talented physically, can cost you games.

Romo sucks as an analyst. His voice inflection is like he's a 5 year old kid, seeing the game of football for the first time.
