I do not accept the premise.
A "violent insurrection" should, at the very least, be armed, right? I believe we can agree that "right wing nut jobs" are one of the most heavily armed demographics in the country. Why didn't they bring any guns to this "violent insurrection"? Did they forget them at home? Why didn't these "violent insurrectionists" burn the Capitol Bldg. to the ground? They certainly had the opportunity.
This has to amount to the most feeble "violent insurrection" in all of recorded history. Of course, it wasn't insurrection of any kind. It was a riot and, honestly, not much of a riot at that. The only person killed was a mostly peaceful protester and property damage was nominal.
