A Florida State University criminology professor abruptly left his $190,000-a-year position following allegations that he fudged data on racism studies during his 16-year tenure.

Eric Stewart, who had six of his studies retracted, has been absent from the college since mid-March after a new investigation over his work renewed scrutiny over claims that he fabricated data by altering sample sizes to make the results appear more racist, the Florida Standard reports.

Stewart was first accused of falsifying data by Justin Pickett, a University of Albany criminology professor who co-authored a report on race and crime with Stewart in 2011.

In the study, the criminologists were looking to test whether the public was increasingly demanding longer sentences for black and Hispanic criminals as those minority populations grew.

I'm a Libertarian, not an anarchist.

I do believe that business owners do have the right to defend their property with deadly force. But I wouldn't extend that right to an ordinary citizen walking down the street who decides to deputize himself on a whim. The trouble is that if the cops aren't allowed to do what needs to be done, other's will take it upon themselves to do it. Then a riot turns into civil war.

You leftist scum will be the first ones to support actual jackbooted thug police action.... once you crash the system. But you use the system's tendency to not go into jackboot mode as a weapon to take it down.

There is one thing that keeps rioters from getting their riot on and that is the knowledge that there will be severe consequences for violent acts.

The sad fact is that this incident gets no attention because it happens regularly and has been happening regularly for over half a century. I can say this because half a century ago I was that poor white 10 year old living in the hood.

I have spent the last 20+ years living in a mostly white middle class suburb. We have a small number of "brown" families, quite a few actually, if you want to lump in Hindu/Muslims, and from what I could see, they were warmly accepted by the majority white kids. This is because, believe it or not, we had pretty much put the racism problem behind us....for a while, anyway.

If this was a handful of white thugs beating up a defenseless black kid, it would be national news and held up as an example of the white supremacy epidemic.
