Oh…Cali has no minimum age with parental consent whereas Alabama does (16). 18 in both states without parental input.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a shit show. I had a client doin 15 to life for murdering her husband who had raped her and needed cover so he talked his neighbor judge into ok’ing it along with the parents who he was friends with (most people know their rapist) and viola he’s in the clear.
