This was the first album I ever bought, in 1992. I can't remember the second one I bought.

Mancini, Herb Alpert, and thank goodness, an occasional Thelonius Monk or Sonny Rollins LP caught my ear emanating from my parents’ shitty console stereo. Blew my mind when my dad complimented the Beatles.

A Donovan concert was the first date I ever went on with a girl. I think I was 14, and her father drove us to the show and picked us up afterwards. Merry Clayton was the opening act.

Can't recall 1st album purchase...scraped enough to afford 45's in the day. But I'll NEVER forget my first concert. My friend's Mom had to drive us there......
