I am REALLY interested to see how The Beavers do.
Seen and read VERY little about them
And.............................they suck.

My call is Baylor to win though I am pulling for the Huskers.

Well, I have the advantage of posting after the 1st day, and seeing the Beavers and Green Wave. Both very sound teams defensively, but the Beavers will have to come through the losers bracket vs. UT or Baylor.
They'll be hard pressed to advance. Baylor has very good pitching and Augie (the dick) Garrido knows how to win in Omaha.
I'd love to see OSU beat UT. (if Baylor beats them tonight)
ASU won't have enough arms to move on with the loss to the Local 9.
If Nebraska get's Johnny Dorn's typical effort vs. Florida I expect a head throbber. He'll keep it close if he's on. He's a freshmen but being from Nebraska should help. He's been around the series.
Florida looks great at the plate and NU needs Gordon to find his groove or it'll be tough. He's really pressing.
IF and that's a big if, NU gets past Florida and gets Dorn to the 7th, I really like our chances to get to the championship series.
Our pitching will still be in great shape at that point. Our pin will be virtually untouched, and we'll be on rotation.
Although I have to admit, I'm not up on what Tennessee or Florida has as a 3rd guy. But both would have used alot of pitchers at that point.
What I like about NU is they expect to win instead of wondering if they can.
This team seems determined. Anderson has done a great job getting the most out of his guys.
I was at the first game against Miami in the super regionals and NU played like they had no doubt. They played like they expected to win.
I saw some of that last night as well.
Predictions are out of the question for me however.
But I'll throw this out....if Texas loses in the championship series, they accept the second place award, but they'll be pouting like the little bitches they are.
Remember last year?

Now the question is wheather or not the Whorns will accept their second place trophy after they lose? ;) :DHarvdog wrote:Well, my Horns are through. Sweet ending.

Should tell you something when fans from your own confrence want to see you go down in flames ;) :DHarvdog wrote:Man, feel the love from the other Big XII schools.... :P
You know of all people though if you win we/I'll be in to take the lumps and congradulate ya; no matter how bitter a taste it leaves in my mouth. Don't ever expect that sort of treatment over the pigskin though. ;)
