Weekend Roll Call 12-16-23
Working yet?
Above avg temps here in FOC ruined by
rain thru out the day. Grinding it out though
and getting a little grill work done today.
3 NFL games on the tube today. Hoping to catch
a little of the first two.
Chiefs tomorrow. Is this the week that stupid
penalties and drops cease?
Time to break in the new spinner this morning.
A quick 10 miler sounds ideal while watching the
final Real Time of 2023.

I got nothing else this morning ....
Happy Weekend, Y'all.

Is that the new Arby's Beef, Cheddar, Cream Pie on the right?
Yep, rainy today over on my side of Missouri. Wife wanted to go to some Christmas parade in nearby St. Charles today, but that's probably out of the question.
Oh and rack me....
Here's what it looks like at night...
All these years of intricate decorating of our houses and I finally make a list! 'Course, this is the first time I've ever entered a neighborhood contest too.
Final week before Christmas! I know Dave is really looking forward to it! We will be headed up to Davenport, IA this year; leaving right after work on Friday. My brother and his family, my sister and her new husband, and now my parents all live there. They escaped "Califorado" back in April. Thankful we don't have to do these 13 hour drives, with overnight stays, anymore! It's just 250 miles, or about 4 1/2 hours.
Merry Christmas, all!

Speaking of drops, the NFL is currently considering making the hip drop tackle illegal. Is this the Nice Faggy League now? WTF?kcdave wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 10:21 am Working yet?

One step closer to flag football.

Baby ZuZu had a double ear infection, wife recovering from pneumonia and a herniated disc in her lower back, and I had a 48 hour stomach virus. I still managed to cook part of a prime rib roast.
Salt, thyme, rosemary, pepper, garlic cloves finely chopped, olive oil as the coating. Seared all sides on cast iron skillet. Cooked at 500 degrees in oven for 15 minutes then lowered to 350 at 11 minutes per lb.

I'm picking up a four-bone prime roast this afternoon at the butcher to cook tomorrow for a party of eight. Haven't done a big roast for a while but looking forward to it. Also on the menu - Caesar salad (with real dressing), baked potatoes, green beans, roasted brussels sprouts, and a big pile of sauteed chanterelle mushrooms.

Why don't you just tell them that you're bringing one to roast? Seems simple to me. Are you bringing your laundry to their house also?Screw_Michigan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2023 8:54 pm Nice job, Rumps. Trying to convince my parents to do a prime rib roast for Christmas.
The grocery store earlier was a total shitshow... which I expected. Went to grab 7 Porterhouses for Christmas dinner. Butcher packaged them up, 3 in one package and 4 in the other. Got home and realized that I was overcharged by over $30 for one of the packages. Was mislabeled as a tenderloin at $29.99/lb rather than $18.99/lb for the porterhouses. Motherfuck... I had to return to the shitshow and wait in a long ass line at customer service to make it right. If it were just them accidentally double charging me for a pint of 1/2&1/2 or something, I wouldn't have given a shit. But, in tis case, I wanted my $30 and change back.
