How many sc@m phone calls do you get in an average day?
I am averaging about 6 or 7 a day.
Calls from S. Dakota, Minnesota, and Ohio today.
I am in Texas.
I get 3 or 4 sc@m texts a day, also.
If someone texts me, I normally don't respond for 2-3 hours, just on general principles.
Sometimes I wait until the next day... or two. lol
I am not on call, and I am not your monkey.
Get off your idi0t device and go for a walk, tubby (which I know you are).

Yeah, past few months have really taken off...5-6 daily. Running an experiment on how many phone #'s I can block before cell explodes....

Re: How many sc@m phone calls do you get in an average day?
We dropped our land line a couple of years ago because the only calls we got were scam calls. Probably a dozen per day and a pain to block, which doesn’t really do any good anyway because they just use different spoofed numbers each time. I get a few per day on my cell phone but I don’t answer any number that I don’t recognize. If it’s important they’ll always leave a message, and I don’t have to listen to an answering machine pick up any calls.
Email is worse. I clean out my inbox about once a month and there’s usually at least 5000 UNREAD emails. I just did it yesterday and there are now over 100. A lot of them are from newsfeeds that I rarely or never open, or from businesses that I for some reason agreed to be on their email list when I bought something. But a lot are spoofed offers from places like Home Depot or Harbor Freight or Lifeline or some deodorant company. I try to “unsubscribe” from the legitimate senders that I don’t read but it’s still hard to keep up. I never respond in any way to the spoofed ones, and it doesn’t do any good to try and block them either.

I rarely get a scam text. One of two a month perhaps.
Scam calls = 3 or 4 per week, I would guess. It would
likely be higher, but I only have my cell on about 3 hours
per day M-F. We got rid of the home phone about 10
years ago or maybe even longer than that.

The pits is getting a call from someone you know, and when you return the call they never called you. On Facebook some scammers like to pretend they are someone else. The other day I got a message from a "Joe Walsh". Yeah, like he would want to chat with me.

It's extremely rare for me to get a scam call, as Robokiller blocks almost all of them.

On my business phone? A lot.
In the course of a 10 hour work day, at least 40. Minimum one every 15 minutes and sometimes 10 in an hour, especially on Fridays.
Most of them are senior citizen scams. Medicaid enhancements that don't exist, final death benefits that don't exist, insurance claim fraudsters, financial help with food and daily living expenses (also doesn't exist), etc. Sometimes I put in the effort to reach a real person and explain they called a business line and ask to be removed from their call list but they just hang up. I'm certain they have no idea what number their VOIP auto dialer called from their scam center in Kandahar.
My business line belonged to a retired couple before I claimed it 10 years ago. Ten. Years.
Apparently once a line is owned by old folks, it is forever known as a target rich environment.

Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.
Re: How many sc@m phone calls do you get in an average day?
Lately I've been getting scam texts from people who purport to be a young, very attractive lady. And the script is basically the same. First text is something like "Hey Amy, we're all going out on Friday, it will be so much fun, you'll be able to join us, right?"
And I'll reply that this is not Amy's phone.
Oh, I'm so sorry, I hope I didn't bother you.
No problem, hope you find Amy, have a nice day.
You seem so nice. I'm Sarah, what is your name? Where do you live? Maybe you can come out with us. Here is my pic, will you send me a pic of you?

You want a photo of me? Why?
Because I can tell you're such a nice guy and it's fun.
Well ok then, just a moment.......
And then I send them a pic of Goatse. If somehow you have managed to have never seen the pic, do not go search for it on the internet. Yes it is nasty.
Then I block their number and delete the text thread. Damn scammers.
