Staple and I worked in the same office at that time. He agonized over the grammar in that thread title for at least ten minutes. He wanted to type "Rootbeer is sux and gax" but his inner grammar nazi wouldn't let him. It didn't take long before common parlance dropped the "and is" and he got the phrasing he initially wanted.
