Weekend Roll Call 5-25-24
Cool new jam and vid from JJD.
My busiest weekend of the year. No time to fuck around
ruffling feathers and pulling puppet strings.
In midst of these 17 hour days, still going to smoke
2 briskets on 2 separate grills in a side by side comparison
that may warrant a mini PET if time permits.
MEME
Happy Weekend, Y'all.

You need to find the time for a full PET, along with a detailed recipe. That has the potential of being the best thing you've ever posted.

Well damn. I fell again, this time just now in walmart. My shoe got caught in the base of the cooler. Grabbed a bag of salad and next thing I know I'm on the ground. Kinda sore but more embarrassed than anything. Oh well.
Hope y'all have a good weekend

Give your digestive tract a break. Health is what makes you feel good. Not food.

I think 'bag of salad' is code for 'tumbler of vodka'.

All time record airline travelers.
Extremely high highway travelers.
All this weekend. Looks like inflation is really inhibiting the US consumer!

There is exactly zero chance of a lawsuit. I fell, it was my own damn fault. No injuries other than bruises, being sore, and being embarrassed. I left as soon as I could. Got an ice pack on my shoulder now, trying to laugh at myself but I feel kinda stupid

Your "tumble" is most likely on Walmart CCTV.
Some random Walmart worker/mongoloid will no doubt see tape of your spaz, and will soon be posting your "fail"to the interwebs.
Viral.
Millions of views.
That's how the world rolls in 2024.

Just kidding, Chip.
When I got clobbered on my bike , everyone said I could have gotten a huge settlement, but I’m not a litigious person.

That is a great meme, Screwloose.Screw_Michigan wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 2:30 amSee, Dave? This is a quality race-based meme for your WRCs.
That is also nearly the same pose I use when pulling your puppet strings.

Rack. Well played.
Re: Weekend Roll Call 5-25-24
Bonus daughter’s b-day weekend. She has three friends up here at my parents 13 acre spread. They are making beach towels, riding ATVs, and playing in the pool. I was able to sneak off at 630 this morning and tee off first at a nearby course (Colovista). Finished the round at 935. Shot 76 with 3 birdies. The pic of the colonial style house is the country club. They film the Nissan Heisman House commercials there.
Made it back to the house and started on the ribs for tonight. Coated them in mustard and trying three different seasonings. One is an Italian original pork rub with no frills, the other is a Memphis style rub, and the last one is a Montreal style rub with some e Cajun seasoning mixed in. I’ll put a ln Apple/cherry glaze on the original rub rack and Italian dressing on the other two. Will let you know how it turns out.

I was thinking about smoking some beef jerky today but my stereo hi-fi broke down last night in the middle of Tune Town. Completely lost the right channel, so now I'm about to start troubleshooting.
My first suspect is the Denon power amp that I bought in 1985. Everything else from that system is long gone but this thing has been a 220 wpc workhorse for almost 40 years. Paired with some floor standing 12" JBLs you could hardly stay in the same room if it was turned up. Lost those speakers a couple of years after marriage because they didn't look good in the living room. The thing weighs about 40 lb so it's a bear to try and pull out of that little hole. Actually, I think the first thing I'll do is just switch the speakers around to make sure the rh speaker didn't crap out. Next thing is to try switching the speakers from "A" to "B". A shot in the dark, but worth a try because I only have one set of speakers.
Update:
I was going to check out the speakers first so I started some music on Amazon Music and…everything was working perfectly. WTF.
So maybe it was a problem streaming TuneTown on Chrome. I started streaming one of Smackie’s archived shows and it worked fine too. So maybe it was just me, but I wasn’t TOO buzzed last night. The mystery remains unsolved. Not disappointed though. Maybe I’ll get another 40 years from the power amp.
