The Final Experiment!
It is time to prove the shape of the earth once and for all. Will Duffy is taking both flat earthers and global earthers to Antarctica to determine the shape of the earth, finally.
Alas, Flat Earth Dave and other well known flat earthers have declined the invitation for some reason.
So they're looking for flat earthers to go and see with their own eyes!
Poptart here is the chance you've been waiting for! This is a free trip, you need to apply for this. The trip is this December, check it out!

I watched a youtube video some time ago... maybe a year ago where professor dave totally dismantles this tool, flat earth dave. This-lower-than-life flat earther had an answer for nothing presented to him. Was a total joke. Flat earthers are the lowest forms of human life.

Personally, David Weiss (flat earth dave) is not close to being my "go-to" guy when it comes to fl@t earth.Ken wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 10:50 pm I watched a youtube video some time ago... maybe a year ago where professor dave totally dismantles this tool, flat earth dave. I did, however, see the "debate" you are referencing, Ken.
The m0d of that "debate" very badly cr@pped the bed.
He let "professor" (rotf...) dave routinely interrupt David Weiss, talk over David Weiss, and basically turn the whole thing into a pissing match farce.
And to David Weiss' credit, he never returned that favor, and instead acted gentlemanly.
95% of "professor" dave's interruptions of David Weiss involved him going into personal insult rants.
"You're a moron. You're a buffoon. Flat-earthers are the lowest forms of human life..."
Like that.
So no, "professor" dave proved nothing through his childish actions in that absurd "debate."

There is no substantive content at all.
Just a handful of videos *chirping* about who is invited, who has declined, who is a pvssy, etc.
Videos talking about how "team globe" is winning!
lol

I'm pretty sure BatTart would settle for an unedited, nonstop video of a rocket leaving earth and docking with the ISS. Surely that's cheaper than this Antarctic expedition.

As soon as there is news of something happening, people start saying, "Where's the video?"
I have posted about this before...
Why is there no camera on the moon to show a 24 hour live feed of the earth as seen from the surface of the moon?
Why is there no full video of a rocket going from earth to docking with the ISS?
Why not?
Because NASA never thought to do these things?
Or... "Naah, let's not do that, because wingnuts like poptart will just claim it is fake, anyway."
lol
The ISS is such a total fantasy that one barely knows where to begin in describing how impossible it is.
Is there a machine shop on board? Research this.
Do you know how many parts and pieces, VITAL parts and pieces, on that thing would/could go bad, and require PRECISE replacement -----> OR YOU DIE?
Is there video of the ISS being assembled?
Astronauts, floating in space, attached to lines, and wearing thick, bulky gloves, PRECISELY assembled it in space?
The greatest engineering feat in human history.
No problem.
rotf...
Are there any pictures or videos of the ISS being "mock assembled" on earth prior to it being assembled in space?
Airplanes are grounded periodically for inspection.
The ISS never comes down.
If there is a problem, someone just performs a "space walk," and *PRESTO*, problems solved!
Nobody could live on such a thing.
Death trap x infinity.
Totally ridiculous.
People seriously need to turn on their brains.

It is just a matter of time until it flies right over you, and with a decent pair of binoculars, you can see it with your own eyes. I've done that.
Re: The Final Experiment!
What scientific benefit would the USA, Russia, China, India, Japan, all countries that have successfully landed on the moon, get from a 24 hour live feed from that distance? Photos of the Earth from the moon are a dime a dozen these days. Are they all fake, too? You do realize that the moon has been mapped in such high def that our space junk left behind from the Apollo landings is visible on the surface, right?Softball Bat wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 3:22 pm I have posted about this before...

Because after rockets liftoff and achieve orbit it takes one to three days to synchronize the same orbit and speed of the ISS to dock safely. Who in their right mind would watch a 1-3 day video? What purpose would be served?Softball Bat wrote: Why is there no full video of a rocket going from earth to docking with the ISS?

Most of the ISS was launched and assembled during the Space Shuttle Program. The "Canada" arm on the shuttle was used to position the modules together.Softball Bat wrote:The ISS is such a total fantasy that one barely knows where to begin in describing how impossible it is.

No. The ISS modules would not assemble on Earth due to the exponentially greater gravity. The modules were constructed of very strong, but thin and lightweight materials. They behave very differently in space vs on Earth, and would distort or collapse in Earth's gravity..Softball Bat wrote:Are there any pictures or videos of the ISS being "mock assembled" on earth prior to it being assembled in space?
The ISS was never designed to re-enter Earth's atmosphere. It was designed and built to exist and orbit Earth in micro-gravity. It would burn up on re-entry, which is exactly what will happen when it is de-commissioned.Softball Bat wrote:Airplanes are grounded periodically for inspection.

Why the fukk would any Christians get caught up in a debate like this, Poptart? They're supposed to be earning their way to salvation and helping others to that goal. The cosmic furniture arrangement is nice to look at and study and stuff, but the ethical import is nil.

I have put up MANY posts about the gospel over the years.
The nature of the place we live is VERY important. It is an important topic.
The lie about the nature of our home is one of THE biggest things that block people from realizing the truth of the gospel.
If we live on a "flat," stationary, enclosed plane, with the sun, moon, and stars moving in a circuit above us, a person cannot rationally deny that there is a Creator.
But if we are on a random rock flying through space, it is infinitely easier for a person to deny that there is a Creator.
The first page of the Bible informs people that the globe cannot be true.
And understand, for the millionth time, I am not saying the earth is flat because the Bible says so.
When I discuss this issue, I am overwhelmingly interested in the science of it.

It is the age we live in.
But the truth is, they cannot do what they are saying they do.
The longest live stream (Guinness Book of World Records) is over 624 hours.

NASA putting up a 24 to 72 hour live stream would be no biggie.

Seems the Grand Conspiracy would fall apart when you realize that humans have known the earth is a globe since before the Bible was written.
AssumIng that God made the Heavens and Earth, then surely He would want us to appreciate His creation as it actually exists.
So for our friend poptart, I commend some Scripture for his prayerful consideration:
AssumIng that God made the Heavens and Earth, then surely He would want us to appreciate His creation as it actually exists.

2Tim. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
2Tim. 4:4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

First, one has to be WILLING to suspend disbelief for a moment in order to absorb facts that counter one's own prevailing theories.
Re: The Final Experiment!
I don't know. Maybe a Duck Duck Go search would answer your question.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 5:22 pmIs there a machine shop on the ISS?StrawMan wrote:The ISS was never designed to re-enter Earth's atmosphere. I DO know they have a 3D printer on board, though, that works with many types of materials.
3D printers work by additive vs subtractive machining. How that all works in micro-gravity is beyond me, I admit.

Yes I know you posted Gospel on TNW (although Scanner held down that department pretty well), here, and romper room especially at one point. But anyway we sort of agree at least as far as that there is a prerequisite involved in earning salvation. But it involves self examination, and that means at the very start getting to know *what* you are.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you've posted the argument that if Earth were a flying, spinning ball, all the water would be cast outward into space. Therefore, the Earth must be flat. Here are a couple examples of where that theory falls apart.
If all the surface water on Earth would be cast skyward, so would everything else that isn't nailed down. YOU and I would be cast off the surface as well. All your furniture would be on your ceiling. We'd finally have flying cars. Birds would have to build their nests upside down in order to keep their eggs from flying out. Wild animals would be floating off into space. Livestock would be cast off into the ether.
In short, I'll believe the Earth is flat when pigs fly.
