Tough loss for Sinner.
In a Sinner match-up with Alcaraz, I think clay is the surface that most tilts things in Carlos' favor.
Gotta believe Sinner would like a rematch on grass, or on hard courts at the U.S. Open.

Zverev leads Alcaraz 5-4 head-to-head, but I am sure Alcaraz is favored in this final.
This will be Zverev's 2nd major final. He made it to the 2020 U.S. Open final, and lost in 5 sets to D. Thiem.

I'd like to see Sascha Zverev win this one, and I do think it is possible, but I cannot predict it.
Put me down for Alcaraz in 5 sets.

I can appreciate fit women in skirts.

Because the women and men play at the same venue, and in the same time period, during majors, a casual fan can get the impression that women's tennis and men's tennis is sort of the same thing.

It's not.
It is like the WNBA vs. the NBA.

There is no comparison in speed, power, and overall playing ability.

Watching the women generally does very little for me.

There's no such thing as a career grand slam.
There's winning the 4 majors by the time your career comes to sn end. But that's not a slam by any means.

"Career grand slam" is a "dummy" term made to placate dummies.

What makes a grand slam is being able to win ALL 4 majors in a given year. In other words, ONE tennis season, a calender year.

It's such a remarkable achievement, that it's extremely rare.

But I digress..........

Borg already had 11 majors by age 25.
Then he retired. Just walked away.
Gotta admire the stoic swede for leaving his mark on the game.
