Why aren't there riots in the streets over Clarence Thomas?

I mean if the swing Supreme Court justice taking six figure vacations from a multibillionaire GQP donor isn't the definition of utter corruption and worth rioting over, I don't know what ever will.
Fuck every single one of you that aid and abet this despicable behavior.
BUT BUT BUT...trannies!

But..but..Screwy, as I previously pointed out, there's nothing illegal about accepting gifts from friends. If the "megadonar" was in any way connected to actual cases before SCOTUS, okay--but there aren't any.

I'm sure that if George Soros & Ketanji Brown Jackson said that they were life-long friends the Republiturds would have absolutely no problem her accepting $500,000 vacations from Soros....

Everyone has cases before the SC you fucking idiot. We are all affected by their rulings.

This is about your jogging justice not me, FOCUS!
Re: Why aren't there riots in the streets over Clarence Thomas?
As though simply being a Republican means you have actual cases before the court? What kind of hamster-wheel logic is this? As for Jackson, the minute she said she couldn't define "woman" should have been her last minute as a nominee. And that's because actual women do have very real and important cases--as women in general, not merely individuals.

Again this is about your jogger not Jackson.
Re: Why aren't there riots in the streets over Clarence Thomas?
Shut the fuck up.
Anyone notice how Squirm worm seems dedicated to Robert's Rules of Order, as though we're in some sort of offical debate?
Obviously nothing will or can come of Thomas accepting personal gifts from a friend. However, Jackson's overt obeisance to the "trans" lunacy should be genuinely shocking to everyone. Perhaps not to the point of garnering riots in the street, but surely real protests.

"The transaction marks the first known instance of money flowing from the Republican megadonor to the Supreme Court justice. The Crow company bought the properties for $133,363 from three co-owners — Thomas, his mother and the family of Thomas’ late brother, according to a state tax document and a deed dated Oct. 15, 2014, filed at the Chatham County courthouse.
The purchase put Crow in an unusual position: He now owned the house where the justice’s elderly mother was living. "

If the sale should have been disclosed, and it appears it should have been, Thomas definitely has some explaining to do.

You will not be doing any further toddler tantrum impeachments for the time being, so simmer down maoist.

Screwy, you might wanna ease up on that impeachment talk.

Supreme Court justices should be smarter than this. No way should gifts, money, trips, etc be accepted.
Thomas should resign. The appearance of impropriety is enough to shake confidence in the man.
But Screwy, please don’t encourage your crowd to riot. Find a reasonable means of expressing displeasure.

Your singling out Thomas as well as your wording tells me that you don't understand the issue.Sudden Sam wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 11:19 pm Supreme Court justices should be smarter than this. No way should gifts, money, trips, etc be accepted.

First off, it wasn't just that Thomas accepted gifts from anyone. He accepted gifts from someone with 4 cases before the court. That is a clear case of impropriety, not just the appearance of one.
But more importantly Alito not only accepted gifts, but did so from someone with 10 cases before the court. He hasn't accepted as much money as Thomas, but the reach of those "gifts" is more far-reaching in it's impropriety.
If you think either of these two will recuse themselves from the cases involving their benefactors....you'd be very naive.
And Roberts should resign as well for not doing anything about this.
Not to mention we haven't found out who Kavanaugh's benefactor was who paid off most of his debts....

But I would still argue that what you wrote failed to put Thomas' wrongdoings in proper context.

Apparently, there is massive corruption within ALL three branches of our government. And, since the attorney general serves at the president's leisure, the justice department is included.
We just saw Steve Bannon get sentenced to prison for felony contempt of congress.
YET Eric Holder, Hilary Clinton, etc.....etc.....were allowed to be in felony contempt of congress and be free from prosecution.
President trump is being prosecuted by Garland's DOJ, while Garland's boss will not be prosecuted for the exact same crime, ONLY FAR FAR more egregious due to being in possession of classified documents for over a decade, being just a mere senator, and having these classified documents in multiple unsecured locations.
What's worse? A weaponized justice department, or impropriety involving judges?
Obviously, you didn't give a shit about the kangaroo court in NYC, so I must assume you think a weaponized department of Justice is FAR FAR WORSE.
AND it's not just Biden's department of Justice.
This goes back to Obama's department of Justice as well. They used unverified BS propaganda to take down the incoming president.
Lying to a federal judge, then using the same unverified BS propaganda to get a special counsel up and running. Start the Mueller investigation, which was the biggest FRAUD ever laid on the American taxpayers.
There's no difference between the weaponization of the government now by today's criminally corrupt left-wing socialists, and the soviet socialists and nazi socialists decades ago.

You made all.my points very nicely.
ALL three branches are massively corrupt.
And since the attorney general serves at the president's leisure, the DOJ is included as well.
Singling out judges and not the rest of our government, shows willful cognitive dissonance.
And in some cases, like screwy and Diego, CONTEMPT of the 1B

Let's see if I recall this correctly, I'm thinking back here. Who was it who said something about, "There is no controlling legal authority that says this was in violation of law."
Hmm. Seems like it's OK to be skeevy as long as there is "no controlling legal authority." Precedent is relevant.
