Nobody.
The only reason he ran for president was to stay out of jail.

Don't be surprised if trump drops out of the race.
He will only drop OUT if he is "incapacitated" somehow.
Could happen.
If you're a DIm, you should hope for that, because as it is rolling now, you are toast in November.

As Roux posted yesterday (I believe), I don't believe this. The choice for the vast majority of the voting public is Trump or not Trump. Very little from this point forward will change anyone's mind, whether it's debates, campaigning, shit-slinging, etc. Sooooo many people detest Trump, including me., Hell, imo, that is the reason he lost to Sleepy Joe last election. I expect the same this election. I find it verrrrry hard to believe that anyone can say the Dems are toast. That is very shortsighted.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 10:31 pmRoux wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 10:23 pm He's old. He's tired. He's confused.

Further to that, I believe there are many conservatives such as Sudden Sam that will not cast a vote for either due to how much they detest Trump. This will certainly hurt the chance of Trump winning.
Re: Which Republican replaces trump as the Republican nominee for President in 2024?
The may be a sizable number of voters, especially younger ones, who would have sat out the election because they didn’t like either Biden OR Trump, and could come out for Harris simply because she’s not a creepy old man.
Re: Which Republican replaces trump as the Republican nominee for President in 2024?
If the Republicans swapped out Drump at the last minute, would any of us really be that surprised? The Nazi Socialist Party used to pull these same kind of antics in the early 20th century. Just chalk it up as another threat to our democracy if the Republicans were to do any of this sneaky backdoor nonsense without a primary vote. Luckily, we registered Ds in the 14th district of NY were allowed to let our voices be heard.

What planet are you living on? Dump and Vance will be destroyed by Harris in November. Americans are tired of Dump's act and his fascism and Harris brings out the worst in these weird, creepy losers and the weird, creepy loser racists who support them.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 10:31 pm If you're a DIm, you should hope for that, because as it is rolling now, you are toast in November.

Not according to recent polls, though I’m sure that they’re fixed by the same Democrat cabal that stole the 2020 election.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 10:31 pm

I think it will be about peoples' personal economic situation.

There is not 1 single undecided voter in the US that will be
choosing the yam. They will vote Harris, vote for some off
the wall 3rd party, or stay home. We all know who the
sociopath's voters are. He will not say or do one damn thing
that earns him 1 single extra vote in the next 90 days.
NOT EVEN ONE! But, he will say and do plenty in the next
90 days that will lose him even more votes.
Zero % chance that he drops out though. If he is breathing,
he will on the ballot.

What is scary is that history came close to making it necessary. IMHO---the more I hear and read about the attempted murder, the more it looks like higher powers wanted it to happen.

This is what Schlump, Cheeto’l and Vince McMahon wanted you to believe. But the whole scene was a complete cheap-fake, all so Blump could get his fist-in-the-air photo shoot. And so Vince’s WWE heels (dressed as secret service) could clock some good hours.
But luckily, most people have short memories and the rest of us have moved on from that staged “incident.” Democracy has now prevailed and we democrats — of the 14th district of NY and worldwide — have the candidate we want, and by way of a fair and democratic process. She will destroy Drump in a landslide. Mump is an old, aging cognitively declining political has-been. Kamala is a true “change candidate” who will bring new ideas and fix all the issues of our country starting exactly on January 20th and no earlier.

A few things here, dave...kcdave wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 9:11 amThese nuggets of knowledge from Mr. Flat Earth himself."Undecided" rust belt voters are not going to be voting for four more years of having a phallus hanging out of their @ss, and especially when the victimization is coming from a brown San Francisco super-liberal woman.

I share your view that Dump is odious, and should never again be anywhere near the oval office.
That said, based on polling and projections prior to the elections of 2016 and 2020, Dump over-performed.
That will happen again.
Reason? There are a whole lot of "closet" Trump supporters.
They do not want to publicly admit that they support this man, but when voting day rolls around, they will get out and vote for him.
And these are white voters, rust belt voters, which are important states in this election.
Much of Harris' support comes from young people, and minorities, both of which do not get out and vote as the rate old white crackers do.
Whatever the polls show leading up to the election, add a couple of percentage points to Dump's side.
He will "over-perform" again.
And again, the economy will be THE issue.
Now, having said all of this, I don't expect things to remain as they are right now, and I do not expect that we will see a normal election cycle.
I expect some crazy sh!t to occur before now and voting day.

The undecided voters overwhelmingly vote based on the economy, as they basically don't pay attention until the 11th hour.

From there though.. Harris is much smarter than Trump, and is actually
trying to do something besides fulfilling a never ending desire to be
the center of attention. She will make a great VP pic. She will
surround herself with a great staff that wants to succeed more than
kiss ass. She will have a complete campaign agenda, that is more
than just rhetoric about 'the border and the illegals." Also, don't
forget, Hillary beat the yam in popular vote, and everyone hated
that snatch.

Surround herself with a great staff? She has the highest staff turnover of any VP. What makes you think that'll change??
Hillary at least had a functional brain, and she STILL lost to Trump.
With this looming recession, you think the average voter will trust that skank to navigate the economy?
Game over...
Re: Which Republican replaces trump as the Republican nominee for President in 2024?
Speaking of replacements....Hillary anyone?
Is she stewing in the broth of grievance but still and nonetheless tirelessly working her phone to canvass the delegates of that looming party meet-up? She might remind them that the DNC (that is, the Democratic National Committee, Inc), went broke in 2016 and got bailed out by the Clinton Foundation checkbook, and, Jeez, we can’t seem to find any repayment check from all’y’all. It seems maybe you owe us. . . something.
And, by the way, HRC could remind said delegates: you have allowed a laughing hyena who drinks her lunch to land at the head of the ticket for the worst reasons (viz., DEI) minus any votes from the party membership, and then managed to duct-tape a China-owned, Cluster-B head-case to her as the veep sidekick. . . and maybe when all the hee-hawing and hooting dies down, you’ll discover what a pair of losers you’ve allowed to be undemocratically implanted to (ha!) represent you. And also, by the way, I happen to be available as her capable-and-experienced replacement. . . whom you can actually vote for on the convention floor, if you manage to get your shit together. . . you know. . . our democracy, and all. Just sayin’.
That is, I’m just sayin’ what She might be thinkin’ (and sayin’). I am in no position to predict any actual outcome, but it’s hard to imagine any winning moves by the Harris & Walz team in actual play-by-play. In case you have forgotten amid all the week-long laughter and euphoria, there are important national issues to discuss about how to manage the malevolent leviathan the federal government has become, and many dilemmas and threats the people face. And there are very different records of each team’s views on these things, party by party.
