A couple days ago.

Phil gets no honor on this board?

He was a pioneer of the "audience participation" talk show format, and for his time, some of the content of his shows was provocative and/or controversial.

A lot of women seemed to like him.

Another Phil (Hartman, also dead) did him on SNL.

This clip of 2 Live Crew performing on his show is hilarious. The faces on all the Carsons in the crowd are hilarious.
