Weekend Roll Call 9-14-24

Post by kcdave »

Yeah buddy.

FOC drought continues, can't buy a drop of rain here.

MIZZOU game today, hope to catch some of it. BC should have
been a walk over, but looking good this year. Not a gimme today.

Royals magic # is down to 9. Tough to get very excited though,
will likely not make it passed the opening series.

51 days to election day.

148 days to 3pete. Bengals on tap tomorrow. They were a legitimate
rival for a minute, not so much now. Joey B is no longer the same
guy. His numbers continue to drop and he looks like an avg QB at best.
2 of the gals, including Chase- I hate the mother fucker- decided to
flap their yaps this week. Good bulletin board material for Mahomes
and Kelce. Chiefs 31- 17

That will be my one only NFL pick this week. I felt really good about all
the of my picks last week. Dallas did their job. Az lost by 6 while only getting
5.5 points. Hou won by 2 while being favored by 3 points. Vegas odds makers
are witches and deal out a level of frustration that I simply have no tolerance
for. Enjoy your 3bb game fellas. I just don't feel like sticking a knife in an
electrical outlet every week.

I have a special meme of the week today.
I happened to find one that includes our boy Sven.
He is the one in the center.

Image

I have no idea however who the alphas are to his left and right.
I only know each one them has their fingers buried in his ass 2 knuckles deep,
hence all the smiles.

Happy weekend, Y'all.

Dude, it is just a game for fun. No money involved, and if you win or lose, it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. Just laugh; at others if you win, and at yourself if you lose. So make your picks in 3BB, and also for the college pickem as well.

Saturday video from Supertramp:

Haircut this morning, and hopefully very little for the rest of the weekend. My back has been aggravating me this week, and it was difficult to sleep last night due to the pain. Maybe I shouldn't say this following Dave's meme, but I'll be in the hot tub later, it helps my back, at least for awhile.

Football this weekend! LSU vs South Carolina, and Saints vs Cowboys, oh it would be nice for both of the Louisiana teams to win.

Today is race day for Saratoga Warrier, and I've got my $10 W/P/S bets on him. Come on, horse!

Image

This week we went thru our 2nd hurricane of the year, and ended up with some roof and gutter damage. Doesn't look that bad, but we won't know for sure until we get it inspected.

Time to get moving, y'all have a good one

Gonna attempt to break the all-time TT record during a marathon episode tunight. Looking to blast through the long-standing mark of 100 songs played during a single show, which means I'll start an hour earlier than normal - 7 PM Eastern/4 PM Pacific/2300 Zulu. Stop in for a portion of it or man up & settle in for the whole enchilada. Get those requests in early! Gonna be fun.

I hadn't planned on running a "Wolfman Requests I've Recently Played" set, (Sunset Grill checked in on 8/24). But since you've been listening longer than damn near everybody and prolly before there was even sound, I'll see if I can get upper mgmt to bend the rules on this one.

Can’t rattle me kc.

All is right with the world again.

Cackles had a solo interview since the debate, and she is right back to obfuscation. She did add that families keep their lawns nice. WTF??

Trump is, once again, one step ahead of everyone with his pet comment during the debate. He brought attention to a problem that now the whole country is aware of.

After Nov 5th cackles will fade into oblivion.

In case anyone didn't fall deeply into that sweet love song, here are the lyrics. Nice one Dave! At least she doesn't have an Arby's in her pants.

I saw her drinking beer, eating peanuts by the bar
I was pretty desperate and I knew she had a car
She said her name was Debby, she was a friend of Jenny Craig's
She had boobs like watermelons and breath like rotten eggs

I know you're hungry, I can see it in your eyes
Cause you're lookin' at me like I'm a side of fries
I wanna take your chubby ass back to my place
Squirt my baby gravy all over your face, yeah

(Woah, woah) Thar she blows
(Woah, woah) Thar she blows
Fat girl, she's everything I wanted and more
Fat girl, she can't fit through the door
(Woah, woah) Thar she blows
I wanna prove to you my feelings are for real
So I'm gonna buy you a million Happy Meals, yeah
I want a chunk o' that body, if you only let me in
I wanna sink my summer sausage into that double-chin yeah!

(Woah, woah) Thar she blows
(Woah, woah) Thar she blows
Fat girl is ridin' my jock again
Fat girl is snackin' on my cock again
Ouch, don't bite

My friends keep telling me I must be going blind
Cause you've got cottage cheese all over your behind, yeah
Even though some people point and laugh at us
You can kick their ass because you're bigger than a bus

Fat girl, I can't believe you're eating again
Fat girl, where does your neck begin?

(Woah, woah) Thar she blows
Fat girl, put my hot dog into your bun
Fat girl, you're really, really tons of fun!
(Woah, woah) Thar she blows
(Woah, woah) Thar she blows

You're my fat, fat girl, oh
You know I really love you
Cause you're my fat, fat girl, oh
Come here baby, where you goin'?
Haha, you're a cow!
Come here baby, hey

It's like a jungle in my apartment, dude!
All these hot bitches
And that one fat girl

a thousand pardons SC---I wasn't keeping track of my requests and would never intentionally make you break your heavy rotation rule of once every 5 years.

Sorry, Chip. I routinely interject politics into this thread for shits and giggles. Nothing is off limits.
Lucky win for LSU today. I caught most of the 4th qtr. Cheering my ass off for SC. Then coach Beamer turned pussy and chose to go for the tie. I immediately said I hope the fucker would miss the kick. Thank me whenever.

Heading up to Costa Mesa in a few minutes to see Bonnie Raitt.

Our backyard project is about 90% complete. Close enough that we can use it, which is good because we're having a triple birthday bbq and pool party tomorrow.

The raised beds aren't filled yet.

The fireplace will get its inaugural fire tomorrow. Hope it works.

I can abstain from politics in the WRC, and agree to treat it as a political sabbath as it were.

Considering the subject of Brutalism came up, this is an interesting contrast of styles.

It looks like someone took ancient Greece, jammed it down the barrel of a cannon, fired it at Casa Colonial and tried to cover it up with Muskoka cottage and solar panels. Is it post modern?

A few ziggurats would be lovely.

Yes. RACKable for its humor if not for its relevance.

You see, it’s not nearly complete yet. We don’t even have soil in the sarcophagi (which actually are planters). You’re seeing the “bones” that were just completed on Friday. There’s a whole lot of detail still to be determined and completed. Sort of like Versailles before the gardens were installed. Or the Sistine Chapel before Michelangelo got started.

But, unfortunately, not everyone has the vision to recognize such things.
