I would have gone with "Just a box of dead"

But we all grieve our own way.

RIP Phil :-(

I was thinking "Box of Phil" but changed my mind.

Never flashy but probably the most musical bass player in R&R and, really, the heart of their sound.

I know I'll be going on a Dead trip this weekend.

I was at this show BTW. And no, not not the spaced out guy in front of the stage.

Sad day indeed. I used to go to his club Terrapin Crossroads after going surfing in Marin. He was always there playing. On the other side of highway 101 was Santana and Metallica's headquarters near Gerstle Park.

Just down the street from those guys place was Albert Park where I'd go catch some minor league baseball for shits and grins with the San Rafael Pacifics. Pink Floyd played a concert a few buildings down from where Phil's place was I think in 1970.

Terrapins was a great place that had around three stages and really good fucking food. Funny guy to talk to.

RIP.

You are as full of shit as Zyclone. I'm sure you and Joseph Alito held hands as you screened the opening of Deep Throat.

So now the Grateful Dead is a two-box set?

I almost forgot. Every New Year's Eve at Winterland. Best acoustics of any place I've ever been. Now it's apartment condos on the edge of Japantown.

You forgot the obligatory POST CARDS proving your participation....

Seriously? I went there a whole bunch and it was a great venue but come on, it was a skating rink. I’m sure there are plenty of concert halls up there with much better acoustics. I know of lots down here and in LA.
