Thought you were gonna run around with your little gun and shoot all them thar illegal aliens?schmick wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 1:21 pm Californians 100 dollars a week.

But newscum supports wasting 26 billion dollars a year on illegal aliens.
100% full stop in any benefits to illegal aliens or their progeny, Californians voted to pass prop 187 and dims holding the will of the people up has caused California's finances to be so fucked.
If California universities are going to give grants to illegal aliens or their offspring, they don't deserve any state or federal momey. If 30% of Californias K-12 public school students are the progeny of illegal aliens then do not allow them to go to public school and lay off all of the extra teachers, administrators and staff that will no longer be needed.
Putting prop 187 in place will save California 26 billion dollars a year, the state will pay off its debt in just a few short years and tax hikes on what are already the nations highest state taxes will. ot be necessary. Then tax.dollars.can go to fixing the roads and infrastructure
What happened to your grand plan?

Schmuck is an idiot. His concept to just ignore an entire swath of the population and call it a tax savings is moronic.Innocent Bystander wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2020 3:31 pmYou state you care for your clients, but you're okay with this?

Are you actually in favor of paying the unemployed not to work?
I thought that was a disincentive for the working folks to get back to their jobs and bring our economy back from the dead.

Golly. California government sounds simply wonderful.

North Dakota’s general fund is expected to end the 2023-25 biennium with a nearly $713 million surplus, according to data from the Office of Management and Budget.

The Newsom administration is inept and the Governor himself is a lightweight, self-absorbed prima donna. People are pushing for him for to be the Democratic candidate in 2028, mostly because he borrowed Pat Riley's haircut. I've voted for him twice, but I would not vote for him again, at least in a primary, or possibly in a general election.HighPlainsGrifter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 5:47 pm Golly. I'm proud of you, Mikey, but I'm pretty confident in predicting you'll gleefully vote* for the next corrupt empty suit to promise a bullet train to Sacramento.

Thankfully he’ll be termed out in 2028. But if the best candidate the Republicans can come up with in a statewide election is Steve “Father of our Country” Garvey, I’m afraid you may be right.HighPlainsGrifter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 8:24 pm I'm proud of you, Mikey, but I'm pretty confident in predicting you'll gleefully vote* for the next corrupt empty suit to promise a bullet train to Sacramento.

If you knew why there were quite a few bumper stickers seen around San Diego that said "Steve Garvey Is Not My Padre" you'd have a clue.HighPlainsGrifter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 9:46 pm What's wrong with Steve Garvey? Yes, I am blissfully unaware of bumper sticker trends in Sandy Eggo.Diego in Seattle wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 11:55 pmIf you knew why there were quite a few bumper stickers seen around San Diego that said "Steve Garvey Is Not My Padre" you'd have a clue.HighPlainsGrifter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 9:46 pm What's wrong with Steve Garvey? He’s not qualified to be anything but a retired baseball player with multiple kids by multiple women, some of whom weren’t his wife, and none of the kids or women including his ex wife want to have anything to do with him. I guess that to you that makes him an ideal candidate for…just about anything, as long as he’s willing to fondle Trump’s gonads.HighPlainsGrifter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 9:46 pm What's wrong with Steve Garvey? 1) Do we really think CA is the only one to waste Covid Dollars? So why single out CA?
2) Why anyone outside of CA cares is beyond me. Elections have consequences and CA residents don’t seem to care about where their funds are being spent given the results of said elections.
3) Where none CA residents should be concerned is why US funds in such large amounts were sent to every State and without clear spending guardrails.
Neither party can resist spending our money and we are heading for a horrible cliff. Every line item in the US budget should see a 20% reduction tomorrow. No questions asked. That money should go to debt reduction until that is significantly paid down.

Re: California wasted Covid relief money and cant afford to pay unemployed
Speaking only for myself, Cali has long positioned itself as a poster child for incompetently fucking shit up and blaming someone else. In this case, the State made private businesses liable for repayment on a federal loan. California did not tell the businesses ahead of time they're on the hook for the state's financial mismanagement. Businesses got to find out organically when their payroll expenses increased. That's fucked up. If you can show me another state doing the same thing, I'll be happy to "single them out" as well.Left Seater wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 7:10 pm 1) Do we really think CA is the only one to waste Covid Dollars? There's an adage, "As goes California, so goes the country." Cali is a trend setter. Always has been for better and for worse. Usually for better, IMO, but when for worse the flyover states need to point at stupid and say, "We aren't doing that."2) Why anyone outside of CA cares is beyond me. Elections have consequences and CA residents don’t seem to care about where their funds are being spent given the results of said elections.
To my knowledge, most states mishandled free money during Covid, What makes this situation unique is California state agencies shifting blame away from themselves and directly onto businesses. That's completely fucked up and should be mocked until politicians in that coastal state accept responsibility for their actions.3) Where none CA residents should be concerned is why US funds in such large amounts were sent to every State and without clear spending guardrails.
