Championship weekend.

Post by FiatLux »

Got a good one starting in a couple hours.

UNLV vs. Boise State. 5:00 p.m. on Fox.

No bama will not be playing this weekend. But they will get a participation trophy and play in the 12 team field. Television money has added them. Despite not being qualified.

And no Ohio state will not be playing this weekend. But they as well will receive a participation trophy and be added to the 12 team field.

Should be a fun weekend starting in a couple hours.

You nailed it m2!!! tOSU looked like smashed shit last weekend against their rivals up north.

They should rightfully be replaced by Kal in the playoff. And as formal punishment, the entire tOSU team should be forced to watch the Kal game live from the Strawberry Canyon, up in the trees with all the other loser hippies who need a shower. That would be complete torture but deserved!!

Easy there Central Park. I didn't say Ohio State sucked because they lost to Whoregon and a shitty Michigan team.

That game against Michigan you guys played last weekend reminded me of the Cheez-it Bowl. I'm a huge fan.

Neither will Cal.

In this thread, you predicted an ACC championship game appearance.

With a 6-6 record and a 14th place finish in the ACC, you were just a little off there.

Thanks Chip, when it comes to college football nothing gets by you!

Thanks for reminding me about how bad Wilcox is as a coach. I almost forgot.

Conference championships can not die fast enough under this
current playoff format. The 1 vs 2 loser will miss out most
years while the #3 or even #4 team squeaks thru and into
the top 12.

Bama doesn’t deserve to be in the playoff.

There are other teams in the CFP that don’t deserve to be in:

Indiana. Shit schedule through no fault of their own. Lost to the only decent team they played.

SMU. Ditto.

Boise State. Ditto.

Alabama should be ranked above each of those schools.

Texas, too. Played two games. Lost one of them.

Lotsa meh teams. Talent spread around more so we saw teams go up and down week to week.

Gotta get used to this new college football world.

Both of those teams would smoke bama.

Bama lost to two horrible 6 -6 teams. One of which smoked bama 24 to 3.

Bama should be nowhere near the 12 team playoff.

I know both of those teams would smoke Alabama. Hell, UNLV would smoke Alabama as well.

Boise State lost by three points to number #1 Whoregon on the road @ Whoregon.

Boise state's only loss this year was to the number one team in the country by three points. And you think Alabama should be ranked ahead of them?

Too funny!

m2 is dead on here. Nailed it!!!

UNLV would absolutely destroy Alabama, especially if they played at the Thomas Mack Center and especially if Coach Tarkanian was biting a towel on the sidelines and even more especially if the Runnin’ Rebels (not to be mistaken for the Racist Rebels of Ole Miss, what a bunch of retard southerners) were starting Stacy Augmon, Greg Anthony and Jarvis Basnight.

They played an SEC schedule and are 11-1 with their only loss to a top 5 team.

Beating scUM in Ann Arbor week 2 looks a lot better after last week.

Couple weeks ago I watched Boise State in Laramie against the Wyoming Cowboys. I was not impressed for three quarters. Boise seemed flat. They weren't particularly good at anything. The Cowboys won just one game this year so they aren't great, and they shouldn't have been winning against a top ten team through three quarters. Then the fourth quarter happened. When the Smurf Turfers needed a win, Ashton Jeanty came out of the injury tent, put the team on his back, and marched straight down the field to take the lead. Then went back in the injury tent. It was something to see.

If Jeanty is healthy, Boise State is a contender against anybody. His stiff arm reminds me of Walter Payton.
Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.

Coogs! 😀

Alabama -7th best odds to win it all. Granted, it’s ESPN’s rating:

https://www.espn.com/college-football/fpi

Gotta get in it to win it, though. I’m not expecting them to make it.

Nice start to the day... from the shithole known as the Dallas area.

Sparky vs. The Clones

The Devils are going to need a big game from the Northern California Kid (RB Cam Skattebo #4) The Beast.

Clones look good early moving down the field with ease.

7-3 Clones early.

Looks like a bad idea for the rest of the conferences to have had The PAC unleashed on their conferences.

This is why The PAC could NEVER get a team in the College Football Playoff. It was a fucking MEATGRINDER. The PAC would just cannibalize each other since it was the only conference where they had to play 9 conference games each other, whereas the other conferences only played 8 conference games making it easy to get into the CFP.

ASU called off the dogs up 45-10 and take the BIG 12.

Now it's up to Ped State to stop the STEAMROLLER known as former PAC12 teams from owning their confernces in the 1st year.

I wish I could root for Pedophile State because I can't stand Whoregon, but I just can't. Any other team I wouldn't have had a problem.

Alright B1G, it's up to you to stop the STEAMROLLER.

Huh? I’m not ranking anyone. I’m making my picks for the ballgames today.

I hope like hell SMU rolls over Dabo’s kids, but I don’t think it’ll happen.

A whole bunch of the flag carriers too. I think a lot of them may be shutyomouth’s kids.

Bama probably does a better job working the cheerleading portal.

The Mustangs managed to beat Houston Christian.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/t ... /_/id/2567

There are quite a few 9-3 teams that would crush quite a few 11-1 teams.

That was rough. Dropped passes in first half and penalties all night on UT. Didn’t really want Texas to win the conference their first season, but it was hard to be pulling for Georgia.

If SMU loses tonight, shouldn't be any argument. Bama is in. SMU’s schedule was horrible. Hell, they played some school called Houston Christian! But you never know. A close loss and they might take them. ACC commish has been whining his ass off for 2 teams to get in.

Bama needs either SMU wins (I don’t expect that) or they get blown off the field.
