Folks, the season is winding down. There are a few potential points that could hit this year but with only 36 hours to go, I'm ready to announce our final tally and issue edits as necessary.

Your 2024 Death Pool Winner is perennial contender, ROUX!!! with 184 points.
Roux caught fire early this season, scoring his first points in February with the untimely death of Jonnie Irwin, a television and radio personality who caught the cancer and couldn't Jimmy Carter his way out of it. He scored again in May with Smiley Anders, narrowly missing the month of death but nailing the cause. Not content to sit on his heels and relax, Roux scored one last time with this year's Zsa Zsa, Jimmy Carter, who lived to an even 100 years and gave Roux no points for age, but bumped his bonus to 30 for three correct picks. Congrats, Roux, you finished the season with an impressive 184 points.


In Second Place, we have StrawMan!!! with 97 points.
StrawMan took some big swings at some young picks and he connected with one of them, actress Shannon Doherty. He nailed the cause and month of the 53 year old former hearthrob and netted a hefty 97 points on a single pick. Nicely done, StrawMan.


Rounding out this year's podium is The Seer!!! with 68 points.
I'm shocked as anyone that Maxine Waters didn't hit for you, Seer. You got the Hamas guy, Ismail Haniyeh, but there isn't an official cause of death. He might have died by missile attack, or hidden explosives, etc. Sufficient to say he died by "assassination" and most likely you were correct in your cause of death so I gave you those points. 68 points from that single pick.


Fourth place is board Boss and Youtube tag fixxer extraordinare, Roach!!! with 66 points
Roach took the approach of "Pick 'em old and wait for the Reaper." His two successful picks, Willie Mays and Quincy Jones were 93 and 91 years old. He scored a 10 point bonus for his two correct picks and totaled out with a respectable 66. If only Roach was this good at 3BB, he wouldn't be losing to yours truly.


Fifth place is our president of baseball operations here at T1B, Rollie Fingers with 18 points.
Whitey Herzog hit for Rollie! Didn't die from a heart attack, unfortunatey. You netted 18 for this season.


In Sixth place is legendary troll, Peter Duncan with 16 points.
Filling his field with nonagenarians should have been a solid lock for a big year but Peter only got one decrepit old fart, Bob Newhart, across the finish line. To add insult to injury, the coroner declared the cause of death, "a series of short illnesses," screwing Peter out of the cause of death. Pete finished the year with 16 points. The good news is the other four picks on his board are still available. I see vultures circling already.


The also-rans include Diego in Seattle, dtownmike, Donnie Baker, HPG, Jacque Custodian, Meat Head, Carson, Rootbeer, Capt. Sig, and free penis.
