Not a big fan of Nicks- he can be a longwinded jerkoff at times, but he nails this one.
I just wish he would talk a little faster and make the necessary points quicker...
The Chiefs are the champs, yep. They are going to get a favorable call occasionally.
Not very often really, but on occasion. Especially on the 50/50 call. But an opposing
coach using that mentality, basically giving his team permission to lose, is inexcusable.
Winners win. Losers quit and make excuses.
The 3PEAT! is 7 plus days and counting ...
Cam Newton- what a piece of work this guy is.

No wonder that mofo never won jack shit.
What are your thoughts about Lizzo? Would you hit it?

I can not lie to the board. But it already goes without saying...
yep, I would.
No real football this weekend for the first time in about 6 months.
FOC is thawing out a little, so hitting the gym, then back to grill work.
Happy weekend, Y'all.

Not no, but hell no. Obesity is not my thing. But you do you and enjoy.kcdave wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 11:29 am What are your thoughts about Lizzo? Would you hit it?

Nice to wake up in my own bed this morning. Trying to sleep in a hospital is impossible, they come in every hour or so to take vitals or draw blood or something. I've got bruises all over both arms, a catheter that leads to a bloody urine bag, and I'm weak and sore --- and I'm happy and grateful for my good fortune. Surgery went well, and now I'm home with my wife, as well as Nurse Rocket and Nurse Big Al:
Looking forward to going to Cabo later this year. I think I previously mentioned that my wife won a trip from her job, all expenses paid. I want to see her catch a marlin there. I've caught quite a few before, and with my bad back, I probably don't need to be trying to catch something like that again. But it will be fun to watch her, she's never caught anything other than a small bream from a pond. We're also going to Argentina later this year, bought the tickets earlier this week, looking forward to that as well.
Opening day of LSU baseball is in about 2 weeks. Hope to be recovered enough to be at the Box for that. Should be a fun season for the Tigers.
Anyone seen any good movies lately? Haven't been to a movie in awhile.
Little boys are telling me they want to go outside so I guess it is time for a short walk. Y'all have a good one.

She should be harpooned and rendered for lamp oil.

Ummmm, no. Noone in Pittsburgh is rooting for baseball season. Perennially suck and horrible ownership who is only interested in lining his pockets. The Pirates major free agent signing this offseason? Adam fucking Frazier. What a joke.
Anyways, relaxing today. Just built a fire in the fireplace and about to have some leftover meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The only effing thing I did today was replacing a pull chain on a light fixture in the basement... and I'm good with that.
Re: Weekend Roll Call 2-1-25
The lament of every small market team. It's hard enough to catch lightning in a bottle and then you have teams like the Dodgers delaying payroll decades into the future so they can win today. The Pirates are a fun team to watch, but you're right. The Cubs are going to take the NL Central. Pirates and Reds can fight over the scraps.
Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.

Here's a reality check for you, or at least me. We toured the local directional college with my daughter today (Is "Central" a direction?) and with the smallest meal plan-she's a whopping 105 lbs, a year will cost 15 grand, tuition, fees and board. My first year there, a quarter's tuition was $254. place is unbelievably upgraded since I was there, but we're talking 45 plus years ago. But she was happy, only an hour's drive from home, she can board her horse not far from campus, so off she goes.

Has to live on campus in a dorm her first year, and she works already, has a 4.0 GPA, is an accomplished singer and rider. Obviously, some superior genetics from her mom's side of the family. I'm not sniveling (too much) just a recognition that I'm an old fuck.mvscal wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 1:21 amTell her to get a job, an apartment and some roommates.HighHard1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 1:19 am Here's a reality check for you, or at least me. Got a chuckle at all the DEI bullshit-can't wait until they get a dose of fiscal reality from 47.
Re: Weekend Roll Call 2-1-25
congrats on a successful recovery. Not fun for sure.
Spring MLB, with the Twins here soon. Hope to catch a couple games. Planning a trip north to CNY and Ontario in June. Using Amtrak's auto train to take my car from Sanford fFL to Lorton VA, skipping a lot of I-95 driving.
Enjoy.

Did you see this story, Ken?
11yo kid pulls the 1-of-1 Paul Skenes signature card.
Kid's from LA, if you didn't already hate California enough.

Yeah, have seen that. The story has made its rounds on the sports talk shows here over the past month or so. L'il dude did the right thing by choosing to auction it off asap. Take that 1 million now rather than 30 years of season tickets to Pirate games. Absolute no brainer.Rootbeer wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 4:13 am Did you see this story, Ken?

And no, I don't hate CA. Beautiful state and I always look forward to visiting there for work.
