what's Assembly Hall like? I've always wanted to see a game there. just one of those things.

I'm more interested in Virginia/Ohio State to be honest.Shoalzie wrote:Now that the ACC has an equal number of teams at the Big 10, they can have a true competition now. Gotta love that UNC-Illinois rematch...too bad, a half dozen of the best players on those teams were drafted on Tuesday night. Duke-Indiana will probably be the best game of the event.

KC-
This is kind of a re-issue but Assembly Hall is "unique." Looks weird on TV...looks weird in person. You can only see a big wall and maybe the first 5 rows or so on tv but it goes about 40 more, steeply...and then there's a balcony, waaay the hell up there....so it holds a lot and gets pretty loud. Students don't really get good seats...only a couple of sections. But there is NOT ONE bit of commercial advertising in there (kind of dumb when the athletic dept. is running a big deficit), no jumbotron, no funky light/music show during introductions. A bit of a throwback....you get the game, the band, and cheerleaders....and that's it. Usually, it's enough.
Duke/IU might be a good matchup....but Bracey Wright's gone, as is Pat Ewing and it could get ugly, as Duke will be loaded. As usual, any team/crowd will be jacked up to play Duke and I'm sure they'll be lemmings and harass JJ Redick as well as the local boy (Carmel) Josh McRoberts who, in other times, would be a no-brainer to play for IU. Sad state of affairs for hoops here....can't keep talent in state anymore. First McRoberts....now Mike Conley and Greg Oden (who looks like he's about 30), who both just signed at Ohio State. Well, at least Mr. Basketball, Luke Zeller will be playing at Notre Dame.

You're right...VaTech and Miami were 10 and 11...BC makes an even dozen. My bad...MuchoBulls wrote:I believe they had an equal number last year. Boston College gives the ACC 12 teams now.Shoalzie wrote:Now that the ACC has an equal number of teams at the Big 10, they can have a true competition now.
