It'll be hockey fights on skates without the necessity an actual hockey game being played. What's next, hockey games without the necessity of hockey fights going on? Gosh, I hope not. Anyways, the puck drops and away they go for 60 seconds. A panel of five judges will determine winners of each fight.

Re-named Hockey Enforcers, the event will see 16 tough guys square off for $140,000 in prize money.

Confirmed for the brawl, to be shown on pay-per-view TV and preserved for posterity on DVD, are a who's who of hockey tough guys, including Winnipegger Frank (The Animal) Bialowas, Link (The Missing Link) Gaetz and former Manitoba Moose John (The Reverend) Craighead.

I like watching a hockey fight if it happens during a game, but I won't sink a dime to watch that crap.

Agreed. Too contrived. A fight is a good departure from a game. The fight isn't the game, as they're trying to do here.

Count me out as well...it's not like they got any of the big names from the NHL anyways. This event will appeal to the drunks that go to games and yell "kick his ass" for 3 hours straight.
