Use to be down big time. Only thing Butch Vig ever recorded worth a damn is Siamese Dream. Fucker is worthless beyond that album. Save your Nevermind takes clones cause I aint readin' 'em.

Went to see the RHCP mainly for Smashing Pumpkins. Some douchebag band I never heard of called Pearl Jam opened.

Hey. Stone Gossard is a damn good guitarist.

Why do you hate 90's rock?

Oblivion came up on my playlist yesterday.

She rolled up from the bar with Kahlua and cream
Parked her wheel chair by the karaeoke machine
Closed her eyes and sang "Dancing Queen"
She sang the shit out of "Dancing Queen"

Classic.

ten=arena rock.

screaming trees: buzz factory is a killer LP.

they also do a very cool version of hendrix's love or confusion on a sub-pop sampler i used to have.

Butch Vig's body of production work includes:

Nirvana - Nevermind (which you already expressed disdain for. No problem. To each their own)
Smashing Pumpkins - Gish (great album, but what do I know)
Urge Overkill - Americruiser
Helmet - Betty (my favorite Helmet album)
Tad - 8-Way Santa (Tad's best by far)
L7 - Brick are Heavy

Plus several Sonic Youth, Killdozer, Soul Asylum albums

Man, what a loser...

Vig did Siamese Dream. Don't know if he did Gish.

So you think Nevermind and Dirty captured the sounds of the respective bands?

i liked God's Balls better than 8-way santa--you just can't beat Sex God Missy.

and Meantime better than Betty.

Was a Nirvana fan way before Nevermind, but in my mind captured their full potential on an album that appealed to a mass audience. It's their popiest, but my favorite after Bleach.

Dirty was not good IMO.

still am a big pumpkins fan, i have quite a few bootlegs i still listen to regularly from the gish, siamese dream, and mellon collie era. rack that site as well. i can't even listen to the albums anymore because i am so used to how fast they play live. geek usa seems like a 20 minute song.

as for nirvana, it doesn't get much better than hearing "blew" live to finish a show.
