Favorite Producer

Anyone have a producer they especially love? Not some guy that just happens to show up on their favorite bands, but someone that really tends to be involved in a band's best albums.

Rick Rubin and Beasties, Run DMC, RHCP?
Vig with Betty?

Eddie Kramer, Alan Parsons and George Martin are the first 3 names that come to mind.

I guess I'm showing my age.

i respect alot of the stuff Todd Rundgren has done over the years as a producer (XTC Skylarking). i'm not a Todd-head by any means...but i think he's an interesting guy. i saw him in concert about 10 years ago and while i was ambivilent about the whole thing.....it was quite a good show.

i admit.

Steve Albini would be my first choice. P.J. Harvey's best was produced by Albini. Likewise The Jesus Lizard and Nirvana. Plus his Big Black and Rapeman stuff which I love. Hell, even fucking Bush didn't completely suck under Albini's tutelage.

shucks

Ya know, I've never heard that album, at least not knowingly. I was very much into Bizarro back in the day but then lost track of the band. Just stole Dalliance, Blonde, and Rotterdam, am listening now. I like it, nothing like Bizarro however.
