The setlist was "Breathe/Breathe Reprise", "Money", "Wish You Were Here" and "Comfortably Numb".

Dare we push the envelope any more?

From a report I heard, they got along well.
One of them (it may have been Gilmour) was quoted as saying,
"It's like sleeping with the ex-wife".

Pink Floyd doesn't have an artistic direction. Nobody wants to hear anything but the old songs. I guess the artistic direction could be considered "Nothing off of Final Cut wll be played live"

Toddowen wrote:So....Gilmour is still trying to come off as the "leader"? Does he know no shame?

First, he feeds his friend Syd Barrett a daily supply of LSD to render him incapable of speaking or playing an instrument, and then makes himself available to play lead guitar. And then after spending a decade riding Roger Waters coatails as a member of one of the most successful rock bands, Gilmour suddenly decides that HE HIMSELF is the leader and the artistic direction of Pink Floyd......What a guy.
No way Gilmour is calling the shots. The 2 post Waters albums are too disorganized and hodgepodge to be anything but the creative wankings of Gilmour AND Mason.

Play Not Now John, and throw the rest in the trash.

And agreed -- that's a pretty bold setlist there. They probably could have done The Wall, but that would require some sort of guests to do the backing vocals, and Waters would have had a nervous breakdown over it.

And let's remember -- it was Waters who broke up the band, not Gilmore.

I finaly listened to the show. The band should as well. They broke no new ground but at least put forth a passable representation of 4 old classics that have been played to death. Too bad that it is likely not going to lead to anything new.

But they're still better than Waters' solo wankings.
